2008 Canadian Grand Prix - Race 7/18

Yeh the track dried out, Toyota was the 1st to go to dry tyres. Glock was 4.1 seconds faster than P2 at one point lol.

Everyone followed suit soon after, then the times really started to tumble.

nope, thank god. Americans will never understand F1 so to be honest its good to leave them to there turn left only racing.

Because of course American racing solely takes place on ovals.

Except Detroit.

And Long Beach.

And Watkins Glen.

And Sears Point.

And Laguna Seca.

And Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

And Road America.

Do I have to go on, or did I make my point?

well did they?

did they ever fill the stadiums at indy?

They certainly got some serious crowds in over the years. Hell, the 2001 race - which was held not that long after 9/11 when most Americans didn't really want to travel - saw a crowd up past 170,000 on raceday. Not up to capacity, because the F1 track bypasses the vast majority of the large grandstands. But pretty respectable in a (at the time) shattered country that honestly has more than enough decent motorsport to keep it happy without adding The Almighty Formula One™ to the list.

Oh, and don't forget - in '01, the championship was decided before that point, so there was no title battle to look forward to there. Yet they still showed up.

Suppose I should just let people dribble on with their uninformed comments about the state of US racing and F1 over there, but you caught me in a bad mood :)

LOL @ those marshalls making a proper mess of that. Massa stood laughing at them :D

took them 10 mins for a 30 secoind job
