2008 Japanese GP - Race 16/18

HI can someone please have a careful look at this and tell me what the hamilton penalty was for.

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2008/10/12/hamilton-and-raikkonens-fuji-clash-the-penalty-they-got-wron-video/

The article on that page highlights some interesting things I forgot about. Kimi force Lewis off the road in Spa, yet Lewis got the penalty. Kimi outbreaked himself, forced Sutil off the track and out the race in Monaco, and no penalty was handed out.

I honestly dont care about which drivers are involved, these decisions are inconsistent and vauge and only look to be getting worse.

Oh come on... It was a ridiculous move into the first corner that caused trouble for more than just Kimi. KR might have well just taken Ham out of the race and he wouldn't have been blamed. (Not because he drives a Ferrari, because there was a headless Hamilton trundling around)
I stand by my earlier "amateur hour" comment for both Massa and Hamilton.

As for the Bourdais penalty... To the FIA. Sigh.

So Lewis should have got another one today for forcing Massa off the road, or Glock off the road in Monza. Or when he forced Massa and Piquet off the road in Germany?

I think Massa was the luckiest man alive at Silverstone

He spun 5 times and STILL managed not to hit ANYTHING! Especially when he spun at bridge and 15 cars drove within inches of him....

You get one of these. (Although you did say Silverstone but I think you said that as a matter of telling us why as opposed to limiting it only to that race :D)

Hamilton should get that honour after shunting it on a tight circuit (Monaco) and recovering to the pits and still managing to complete the race.

But not only that... he actually WON that race.

THAT my friend Skeeter.... is all about being the luckiest man alive.

IMHO if Massa wins the drivers title, its all because the FIA helped him to it.

F1 is just a joke these days McLaren get drive though(s) and penalties just for turning up and the FIA & stewards etc do everything to make sure Ferrari win. I for one can't even be bother to watch it anymore.

See you back here next weekend.

?

I was mearly making a casual comment that Massa definately had luck on his side at Silverstone... nothing more. It was limited to that race, making light of the fact that altho he had a horrible day, he got away with a lot.

Please in future dont twist my words and then insult me for it.

Woah boy was only messing! Not twisting words or whatever. You misinterpret me (just as I have evidently misinterpreted you).

No mallice intended buddy :) Just saying that imo (and in the entire season), that incident in Monaco makes Hamilton worthy contender of luckiest driver of the season.

(or words to that effect), thas'all! :D
(Where did I insult you btw? Thats the last thing I do! :()

Ok, ill let you off :)

I think that many peoples opinion of luckiest or unluckiest driver depend on their stance on many of the numerous stewards decisions this season. My unluckiest goes to Heidfeld and Barrichello for the Singapore qualifying incident.

Unluckiest for me would have to be Adrian Sutil with the shunt by KR in Monaco.

Well if Massa didnt nudge Hamilton, then he should at least probably get a penalty for cutting the corner.

Actually would that be two penalties :D ?

Maybe if it was a one of for Lewis it would not have been a penalty, but its a habit he is developing and has been discussed in the driver briefings, maybe now he will learn to respect other cars around him.

On a completely unrelated note... how tacky and pointless was the whole green stripe idea? It made telling hard from soft impossible..
