Depends - in some areas are doing local elections at the same time as parliamentary ones. In other areas (such as mine) it was only a parliamentary election - local council election was last year for us.

Those are the parliamentary ones. Local election forms have local council candidates.

The split between Labour and the Lib dems is far more damning IMO.

If nothing else this election is showing up the perversities of the UK electoral system, it cannot be allowed to continue this way effectively denying swathes of the population representation.

i can see it now, all the lib dem voters, the working class, didnt finish work until 9.30pm and voting closed, hence them getting such a low score in the exit polls.
