---2012 Nexus Phone facts/rumours/info thread---

16GB is enough for me. Enough for photos/video and Spotify. Never had a problem with lack of space on my Galaxy Nexus.

I have actually been turned around by this phone. SGS3 and One X+ are good, but S4 pro is simply brilliant and the screen trumps everything except for perhaps the iphone 5 and SLCD3 devices HTC are bringing out. The Note 2 display is up there as well I suppose.

8GB only signifies Google are trying to push to a more cloud based service imo. This needs to come with a hefty Google Drive account, and also Google Music needs to be released in the UK. However still is not enough 32GB for me is minimum with the amount of music that I carry, not everyone has unlimited data and moving to a cloud based solution is not viable as most UK carriers still offer a pitiful 500mb data allowance!

My HOX trumps my Note 2 display! For most things apart from blacks.

I haven't seen a Note 2 display and so didn't want to leave it out so that someone could come back at my comment. :D

SLCD2 is very good and SLCD3 should be amazing from HTC.

To me it's about the the whites and more gamut and higher nits and such on the SLCD2 that makes it one of the best if not the best display of 2012 on mainstream phones. AMOLED has advantages for it's blacks and contrast and a bit more.

SLCD3 will just be awesome, that PPI is off the hook! However bare in mind that Sony is due to show off a similar 5" and reportedly 6" 1080p devices housing their own screens! That should be good as well.

I haven't seen a Note 2 display....

nor have you seen the LG display or used a device with an S4pro :p

The HTC One X still has a better display then both the Optimus G and iPhone5 form almost every review and personal usage (Comparing iPhone5 vs HTC One X). The way the glass just floats there puts it in its own league, also amazing viewing angles.

Also I am thinking of just getting the LG Optimus G, I would expect a rom to come fast just like it was for the Desire given its the exact same hardware, the international version in Korea came with 32gb storage so it seems good. If it gets a quick CM rom im all over it.

I'd love to compare these 3 screens side by side to see how much they differed.

I compared just the iPhone5 and HTC one X it really nothing in it expect the the view angles, the curved display makes the One X just look better, even thought the iPhone5 has in cell touch the One X looks closer to the screen.

I am still reading mixed opinions on those 3 phone screens. Review sites say one is better than the other and others say the opposite.

Need anandtech's review!

Well given there is no 100% I guess they all are just amazing screen, the One X makes me not need those deep blacks from AOMLEDs. The LCD3 will Beat everything I guess once its out.

The Optimus G has a locked bootloader though, doesn't it?

Afaik this was confirmed by LG themselves.
