2012 predictions

So why did you say the logo's appeared as if they signified Kimi was going to be at Red Bull, they were always there...

Because I figured my casual comment wouldn't be subject to forensic grammatical examination.

He appeared with Red Bull logos on (he loves that beanie), and I went "I bet he ends up in a Red Bull F1 car", and that's it. A simple casual observation.

Once again, stop trying to start fights.

Calm down dear, I have no desire to start a fight, was just pointing out the logo's were there cause Red Bull sponsor the team, and as such their logos appear on the car and driver wear :)

Sorry x

Explain...?

Why would Vettel not want Kimi? Why are Merc full, I thought you said Rosberg was jumping ship to Ferrari and Schumacher will be retired, and I seriously doubt Kimi would want to return to the corporate machine that is McLaren.

So....?
because webber is not allowed to compete... as if vettel is gonna say yes lets get kimi in...

schumacher will be retired? not what haug hints at and aparently rosberg signed a longterm contract or is about to

Well with Webber out soon, I think it would be a stupid decision for them to not consider Kimi.

To be recorded in the WRC standings you must complete at least 7 races, 2 of which must be outside europe. Kimi already missed Mexico and Argentina, and he decided he CBA to go to Australia, so he got excluded.

This is why I don't quite get his rumoured moved back to F1. He wasn't interested in travelling for WRC, so unless the money is substantial, why would he travel for F1?

Lol!

Headline: "Kimi has signed a deal!"
Story: "Rumours say Kimi might have signed a deal..."

Some of the comments on that story are great. :)

I think I'll wait for formal confirmation in case the "man on the ground" turns out to be the ice cream guy outside the circuit

My money is on Mclaren using a supprising bit of aero manipulation that gives a car that is otherwise slightly behind the Red Bull in sheer pace a small advantage. Obviously its then entirely down to whether it gets banned or how quickly Red Bull manage to clone it. Interesting question is whose driving style it will suit better, Jensons or Hamiltons. All imo of course :)

I lol'd so hard.

I think it will be similar next year, Red bull outright dominant at the start of the year. Mclaren and Ferrari will be similarly matched and they come back with a couple of Race wins. Sort of looking forward to the "new Lewis Hamilton" that his father keeps talking about.

In my opinion it will all change when the new engines come in. Cant really say who's going to be best with these though.

I thought the engine reg changes weren't likely to affect things, rather the restrictions on gear ratios were,

I think completely new engines in all cars, including possibly a couple of new manufacturers has the potential to massively shake things up.

Gear ratios are fixed, and I'm fairly sure most teams will choose very similar ratios.

Its not until 2014 now though, so a fair way off.

I want mercedes to make a good front running car next year so that the real michael can return and fight at the front, even though lots hate the old michael, i think it will be exciting to see him as he was at ferrari

For the good of the sport, I would like to see this too. Having Merc, RBR, McLaren and Ferrari all fighting it out at the front would be epic.

Red Bull
Ferrari
Mclaren

Vettel
Alonso
Hamilton

I'd go along with that, though I'd add Button's name alongside Hamilton's.

I'm hoping for for something big from Ferrari as they have absolutely no excuse now, not to win the title. Alonso is in unbelievable form and it is clear that Ferrari are looking to take the big risks now (if their front wing is anything to go by). I'm expecting many of their parts to be banned next year, after they win a few races using those said parts. Fingers crossed.

The last thing I want to see is Vettel being a triple World Champ, in the space of 3 years, however, this scenario is VERY likely. Also consider that Vettel is still developing as a driver, so it is quite possible he may actually be better next year.
