2012 Weight Loss Thread

20th/21st?? week weigh in:

Last Sunday - 17st 6lb
This Sunday - 16st 11lb

8lb loss

Well I should be lying on a beach but my appendix decided to break hours before the flight, absolute nightmare...

So no proper gym work for me for 2 weeks and even then weights will have to be a gradual introduction.

This will be a real struggle to keep the weight down in these few weeks.

(Total loss since September '11 - 9st 2lbs)

Week 21 Weigh in:

Starting weight beginning of January 14st 6lb
Target weight end of June 11st

Last Monday 11st 7lb
This Monday 11st 5lb

2lb loss

Thank god! Only 5lb to go :) I put this weeks loss down to the weather and being able to cycle to work and back!

Was 219lb Friday morning, Sunday night I was 231lb, 12lb gain over the weekend, what fun!

A large amount of that is Prolly water retention from the hot weather, that said 12lbs :0 did you eat an anvil ?

I'm a little worried I'm losing to fast, I don't know what I can do to slow it down as I can't really eat much more per day, all I can think is to reduce the cardio but I'm really enjoying it. Done two 5k's since Sat. Target is 20k a week.

That's definitely too much if you want to be maintaining muscle mass as well. However, how much do you weigh currently?

I'm 6ft 2" and 273lb at the moment, I'm very broad though and people don't consider be to as heavy as I am. For example I'm a 38" waist. I'm unsure really if I'm losing muscle mass or not at the mo but it doesn't feel like it.

I still imagine you're losing muscle mass! I aim to lose 1kg (2.2lbs) a week in order to keep hold of what little muscle I have. However seeing as I'm probably a fair bit leaner, this may affect me differently to you. I wouldn't recommend maintaining 5lbs a week for too long, although getting down to 100kg would be a good place to start slowing it down at!

I have just started at the Gym I am a 25 year old guy nearly 26 and have decided that
I really need to start loosing weight as am about 330lb ruffly and I am very broad.

I want to loose the fat and build up the muscle so I know going on scales wont help me in
a couple of months as I will start putting the weight on in muscle mass I think but I should
be able to tell by my clothes.

Thats pretty much the plan, I expect it will slow down at some point but the 20k a week running seems to be stripping it off me.

Well my day to day weight loss I'm running on a proper diet which results in never being too full/stuffed, so I can easily pack on a huge number of pounds from just eating and storing it through my gut.

But what did I eat, hmmmmm.... Friday night I had 2 croissants, a super sharing size stuffed crust meatball pizza, 2 quarter pounders with cheese and some curly fries. Saturday I had a 20oz Ribeye steak with chips and onion rings followed by a huge amount of alcohol, ranging from beers to cocktails and everything in between, I then had chips and cheese in my drunken stooper. On Sunday I had KFC at about 11am, at about 2pm I had an 11" stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut and at about 6pm I had a 6 piece bargain bucket from KFC - oh the joys of being a fatty!

To be fair it's a very rare treat as we don't have ANY chain fast food joints in Guernsey so I made the most of it whilst I could, I was on holiday :p

I'm still 100lbs down on what I was at my heaviest.

I found endomondo to be inaccurate and would occasionally fail completely while out on a run, Also even though I got the paid version I'm always getting reminders I can by stuff from them!

I find cyclemeter/runmeter to be far better, never failed me. Though I do tend to go by Myfitnesspal when it comes to calories burned as its lower and I don't like to cheat!!!!

So I've been trying to lose some weight. I am fed up of being unfit and finally weighed myself I was 16st which made me a little sick thinking about that. Time to do something about it.
Been starting running/jogging/ dying and really been trying to eat well too. I also put a punchbag up too and the Mrs and I are having some good sessions on that ha. Going well I think. I still like the glass of white wine and that mind, which I know is a killer, but hell, I make up for it.

I've started riding to work as well, which is only 6km each way, but 12km a day should start to shift it, I hope.

Started 2/3 weeks ago, half heartedly, was 16st

Now 15st8

Goal 13st10

I have a hell of a fight to go to get to what I would like but I can do it.

Well done to all the guys in here.

If anyone has any questions regarding Loose Skin and tummy tucks etc. Ask away as I know generally quite a lot about that subject.

I went from 21.5Stone to 10.5stone in 11Months when I was 21, then at 24 (1.5 Years ago) had my Tummy Tuck, and never looked back! best 6.5k I have ever spent!
