2012 Weight Loss Thread

Well done to all the guys in here.

If anyone has any questions regarding Loose Skin and tummy tucks etc. Ask away as I know generally quite a lot about that subject.

I went from 21.5Stone to 10.5stone in 11Months when I was 21, then at 24 (1.5 Years ago) had my Tummy Tuck, and never looked back! best 6.5k I have ever spent!

I would be interested to know a bit more about it and that, do you have any before and after pictures? Feel free to PM me.

22nd week weigh in:

Last Sunday - 16st 11lb
This Sunday - 16st 9lb

2lb loss

Super chuffed with that as I am still recovering from my operation so exercise has been minimal.

(Total loss since September '11 - 9st 4lbs)

Weighed in today at 220.4lbs which is exactly 100kg, which means next week I'll be in double digits for the kg weight!

15st10 at 6ft4 - I'm starting to look more normal :D

Week 22 Weigh in:

Starting weight beginning of January 14st 6lb
Target weight end of June 11st

Last Monday 11st 5lb
This Monday 11st 4lb

1lb loss

Bit late to the table this week and with only a 1lb loss which means I now only have 3 weeks to lose 4lb and reach my target!

I find I'm struggling more with wanting to eat naughty foods when it's cold and wet like it is, I also do less cycling and running . Guess I need to try harder!

Here's what nearly 10 stone looks like chaps....

Can't believe I've got to this stage, want to say thanks to everyone who's given me advice on the forum, its helped a lot. I'm not finished yet but a big chunk of it is done forever!

That's my Dad in in the middle, he hadn't seen me between the time those pictures were taken, he was a bit shocked to say the least.

Some impressive weight loss going on, nice work maxeh and good luck with double figures rusty :)

On a bit of a diet myself, trying to lose my Pre gym fat, target loss of 30lb in 16 weeks, currently coming to the end of week 3 and am on target so far :)

23rd week weigh in:

Last Sunday - 16st 9lb
This Sunday - 16st 7lb

2lb loss

Slowly introducing a bit more cardio and recovering well, another month and I will be back on it again. Still pleased with the loss considering.

(Total loss since September '11 - 9st 6bs)

Amazing work Maxeh, you look so much healthier :)

Arg, weight loss is going very slowly with strong-lifts - aiming at 1800 per day on off days & 2200 a day on exercise days (3 a week) - I've noticed muscle growth (gone from 13.5 to 14.5 inches on biceps over the last couple of months) - on average I'm losing about 0.25 to 0.5 pounds a week.

So I've lost almost a stone, but the progress seems to be painstakingly slow - I don't think I should reduce calories anymore - I'm also manually recording everything I eat on myfitnesspal (using my own food list, as 99% of the things on that website are totally wrong - which hindered progress earlier in my diet).

I found that for some reason people put the calories at about 10 to 20% lower for many foods on MFP - totally destroying any deficit you may have.

On the plus side, I'm continuing to gain on the 5x5 & noticed a big improvement on my upper body (growth) - odd that the loss is so slow O.o... the mind boggles.

Thats odd tbh mate as Ive only found 1 item so far in 3 months that was wrong on MFP and I check everything if its the first time I've used it. Are you adding unusual food ?

In other news, my loss is currently 44lbs :) although things arent great at the moment and I tend to stop eating when under stress (which I am atm). Still running 20K a week though and have added some cardio work on the bike on the days I'm not running.

Pretty standard stuff, yog's - milk, fresh foods, noodles/rice etc - almost all had lower sugar/carbs/calories than the real packing.

Now I put everything in manually the second I eat it from the back of the packet lol - a bit annoying but slowly I've built up my own database.

On average by using the real figures (compared to the MFP data) I have around 150/200 calories less a day after my main meals.

End Nov 16.7, Before Xmas eve 15,4, after ny 15.12 :( back to 15.5 now.

14,8 now. Pretty slow compared to some of you guys. My aim was to reverse trends and head in the right direction so not too disheartened but I accept that some weeks / months I was eating badly due to work / travel and social engagements.

Regardless is speed you are nearly 2 stone lighter, congrats!

Thanks, I'm really chuffed tbh (more than anything I know how easy it is to lose weight now) but I have pretty low expectations. I just thought it good to remind everyone it's the direction that's important as much as the magnitude.

I was thin as a student and it took me 15 years to pile on over 6 stone. By that measure I have to see losing 2st in 7 months as a good thing - but if I'd put weight on over the years as a young 'un I may not have that same sense of perspective.

I hope everyone who's unhappy with their body sees though that *any* move in the right direction is a good thing and any move in the wrong direction just a temporary set back so long as you're honest about the reasons for both.

Joined a gym now to help with fitness but tbh I'm not hanging on it to help any with weight loss, it may, but it's not my reason for doing it. I know what works in that regard now so will progress with my search for the body I want in other ways.
