Being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes mainly!
Joking aside, it was a major kick up the bum and a long needed lifestyle change.
A diabetic's diet is a healthy diet!
Exercise wise, gym every week day and badminton/long walk on a Sunday.
Long way to go but seeing the results is so rewarding.
At the beginning of October, I was 17 and a half stone.
I am now 15 and a half stone.
Good work Pumaz! Imagine how much you will lose when you can get the exercise into the mix
I am trying to keep my calories at a more normal level, so there is less chance of weight gain when I up them again. I would die on 1200kcal
I've got to say 1200 kcals ain't that bad. I've never had any problems sticking to it and that includes going out for a meal in Nandos and before any one asks I do eat breakfast and dinner before Nandos and still meet 1200
I've mostly ignored this thread since I haven't been able to weigh myself yet :/ All I know is it's very, very bad.
However since the new year (why not eh? ) I have been eating just the 3 meals a day with no snacking or what not between. Quick typical example from last year:
Breakfast: Omlette/scrambled egg with bacon/cheese/beans to suit
1st break at work: bag of crisps and 2 chocolate bars!!
Lunch: home made bread with cheese & meats
2nd break at work: more chocolate, high sugar energy drink
Dinner: Meat & 2 veg type thing but rarely properly hungry due to eating too much at work.
After that I'd still eat more crisps/chocolate and what not whilst at the computer
All change now though cut out the above snacking and down a litre of water instead and consistently hitting 4 - 6 litres per day!
Feeling great so far
Why?I'd advise 4-5 smaller meals a day
Why?
Just a quick question guys about what will work best for me.
I haven't eaten breakfast for years and years as I don't have time / want to make time for it, my question is would it be beneficial to drink a meal replacement shake for breakfast as opposed to not having anything at all?

Breakfast is so important! You really need to make time. Gets your metabolism up for the day
Don't worry I haven't eaten breakfast for probably ~7 years. Cals In< Cals Out is the most important factor, meal timing/frequency is the extra 5% and it's debatable at that.
