Are you sure? Is that with the same set of scales at the same time of day? I can be a flu 2kg heavier in the afternoon, but its all the fluid I drink in the day. The next morning it will all be gone.

I've taken up the gym again and have been very calorie restricted without even meaning to, roughly 500-1000 every day. There are other factors but they don't need to on a forumlol

Think it's time I jumped in on this thread as I failed entirely last year.
Started the new year with a different attitude without even thinking about dietting properly. By changing my life style instead of thinking it's a diet I've managed to loose 2 stone in 24 days!
I've taken up the gym again and have been very calorie restricted without even meaning to, roughly 500-1000 every day. There are other factors but they don't need to on a forumlol

Doing that mate you're gunna end up losing any sort of muscle you had, more than likely resulting in a "normal" body and tiny weedy arms. Your call, but your calorie deficit is FAR too high. Should be aiming for 500 - 1000 calorie deficit in total (ie, eating 2000, using 500 training, resulting 1500 total MINIMUM) in order to attempt retaining muscle whilst cutting fat.
