*** 2013 Powerlifting Totals - NEW ***

To quote myself:

Tbh not enough credit has been given for all the OHP/PP/BTN/Head Rack PB's that were churned out yesterday after a pretty draining 3 hours prior! Coming in fresh I'm sure there's plenty more impressive numbers to come.

I'd like to be included in this for my own personal strength development. See if/how far I can climb as my training is now focused on oly/strength training.

Shifty_uk -------- 130 / 130 / 170 -------- [76] ---- Total Weight

Could anyone advise on any progress monitoring apps for storing lifts? Other than Notes :p

Strong bench/squat ratio!

Strong bench/squat ratio!
Its pretty embarrassing imo, my squat is lacking behind and should be heavier than my bench. Been doing a lot of front squats lately, I think my max for that is 90, don't have the bottle to go heavier just yet.
He probably plays football to be fair.
Nope.

I'll try and get my mate to take a couple of vids.

Updated, except for ice.

Can you put my BTN 120kg push press in pls

As below, I'll jab it in as Push Press for now, then move if people decide on having it as a seperate lift.

Are we having BTN presses as their own lift?
Not wanting to take anything away from a fantastic press but they are different to a normal push press ;)

No idea, if needs be I can add it in as a seperate lift.

BTN takes out the initial push from the press with the focus more on legs than arms. IIRC (could be BS, mind).

Morba: this is only an issue for you because you can only strict press or... err... strict press. If you got your leg drive working, you should be able to ad a fair bit more to yours. ;) :D

Good point. I don't know.

It's definitely different, but is it different enough to have it's own category? Is it easier? I have minimal experience with both variations, so I don't know!

How about calling a lift without a double dip a push press? That's what I think the definition is.

Then is it a push/power jerk if there is a partial second dip, and a jerk if there is a full split or squat on the catch.

MrThingyx, please help.

Edit: I somehow didn't see the post above. My last point still stands :D

To be fair if we go down the route of splitting everything then it will be a bloody huge mostly empty board lol.

I'm sure for people who do them regularly they are significantly different, probably as different as front/back squats! :D
