2013 Powerlifting Totals

Even though I'm not posting as much these days, from being Gymratz thread whore of 2011 to basically a ghost! I'm still lifting and eating.

Strongest lifts this year:

Bench: 120KG
Squat: 170KG
Deadlift: 160KG+

Bodyweight 92KG

My chain & hammies need some work as I haven't really incorporated heavy deads/SLDL in my workout in over a year so bit of a weak link there.

Finishing another cycle of HST next week so hoping to match my squat PB from a year or two ago of 180KG, be nice to match the bench of 135 or even beat it too, but I do have a rib slightly out of my sternum so need to be careful. Need to be careful of my waistline too! :p

Are you patched up yet? or still having a few shoulder issues?

Shoulder is still pretty naff, slowly reintroducing flat bench again, everything else appears to be coming along anyway :)

Glad to hear you're, hopefully, on the mend!

Good effort, you could possibly add a couple more on to that if you had a quicker negative? Or is that on the complete limit now do you think?
 
I'm the same, power off the chest is strong. If I ever fail it's lock out.

I'm planning to do some pin press after the comp to work on the top part of my bench press.

Also, I've never seen someone wriggle so much on the bench lol

yeah your press is more solid for sure, i had no shoes on and lost footing on the right side. I deffo need to do some range work im gonna do speed work around 120 and then pin presses aswell to build that lockout.

no such thing as complete limit! I think my neg is slow simply because i like to feel stable and im all type 1 fibres so lots of blood lots of muscle mass so i dont fatigue easy and thus i can control the neg and build muscular tension which i like the feel of. A fast neg could hinder as much as help. No theres no sweary i just splutter OKAY really loud sounds a bit like profanity but it isnt i was careful! :D
 
Haha! No worries :) I meant limit as in right this second, pretty sure you could add more given you were more stable on your footing etc.

Nice work! All I've got to do is add another 100kg and I'm equal! :D
 
ha delvis youll be at 100kg in no time. I think right now its heavy as i fancy till ive actually worked on strength. Im a bodybuilder and im not geared for this type of training. Its been nice to push it and im interested in developing it but now i know roughly where my limits are i can move up to bigger numbers, but to do so ill have to step back first and change a few things.
 
Indeed. I'm just just easing barbell bench back in slowly due to my shoulder. I also need to get my bench looked at properly anyway as I'm pretty sure with some tinkering I'll be able to do it properly.
