2013 Powerlifting Totals

I'll join this at some point, i don't think (i know) adding my current numbers is good enough to sit with everyone elses numbers considering i've only recently cured myself of ****arounditis.

Old

Begbie ------------ 100/ 130+/ 170-------------- [85] ------ 400

New

Begbie ------------ 100/ 150/ 170-------------- [85] ------ 420

No change as I done it last year, just Monkee wouldn't let me put it on!!!

It felt a lot harder though, not sure what is going on with my squat. My reps feel good, I go heavy and I get scared - like really scared. 150 is ****ing heavy!

Depth wasn't great, but I was told it looked fine. So I'm counting it anyway :)

Might be worth just standing with the weight on your back for 20-30 seconds at a time if it's the load that's scaring you.

I remember when I eventually got fed up with the smith at the uni gym and decided to improve boost facing backwards on the bench. 150KG felt like my ribs and shoulder blades were about to pop off/out!

Yeah I've read a few guys on here do it!

I'm not sure, it feels comfy (well as comfy as to be expected) on my back the positioning feels good. On the way down, I think I come down to slow possibly. I get nervous I'm not going back up, so I stop and push up.

It's not bad, but I can go much lower on 135.

Shall give it a bash next week :)

It's a confidence thing. The more time you spend lifting that weight the more you will own it. I used to be the same.

Your right, I would've been the same at 130 etc just 150+ seems to be a mental thing at the moment. I know I can do more on a good day. But as you say confidence.

Put your numbers up so you can see your progress mate :)

Okay.

Bench, Squat & Deadlift
'Wes -------- 65 / 75 / 85 ------------ [89] ------- 225

Overhead Press
'Wes -- 52 / ~ / ~ / ~ / ~ / ~ / ~

Edit: No belts or straps.

Here goes my 1st attempt at E-peen.

Captain Planet ----------- 105 / 140* / 150 ------------- [96] ------ 395

Felt I could do more for squat and DL but I didn't want to push too much and break myself when it's just gloating rights, y'knowmean? DL should come on quite a bit with improved technique.

Made a bit of progress from the 2012 thread but lack of time in the gym means I've not gained much :(

kiwi --------------- 65+ / 95+(B) / 115(B) ------ [80] ------ 275

Was really chuffed to crank out 4 @ 65kg thinking it was a new PB only to find in my book that I'd already done 3, MINIMUM GAINZ!
