2016/17 Pre-season Friendly Thread

Couple of good chances for Leicester so far but Barca have been dominant, as expected.

Chilwell looking good. Mahrez playing in behind Vardy, I expect we'll see a bit more of that this year.

I'm disturbed by the amount Valencia is being used. He literally wastes minutes of a game with his stop, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy... Shimmy... Pass it back to the player who passed it to you.

Perfect for those seeking a draw

We still have a lot of Lvgish play in us.

I'm not expecting to win the league this year, I think Jose will need two summer Windows to sort this squad out

If Zlatan is going to play so deep all the time, something he was doing even before coming here, then Rooney is going to have to start getting forward to fill the gaps.

Rooney was doing the same **** as he's done his entire career, dropping deep, sometimes infront of the defense to pick up the ball and then slowly recycle the ball. It's crippling, it fills space in the middle of the park. Reducing the room for other players to operate and leaves us light up front, reducing the chances of us moving the ball quickly within the final third.

This is usually labelled as passion... rather than constriction

Ibra coming so deep is nothing new, he did it all the time for PSG, was one of the reasons I was not so enthused on us signing him, we need someone who plays the line with high movement.

with a stronger midfielder, Im wondering if this would be so evident - of course its not all down to one player, but its gotta help.

It was also evident that JM wasnt playing his 1st choice XI at any point last night from what I could work out from the txt updates....Im not sure if this is a good thing or not given that they still need to get used to one another's movement (for instance Mkhitaryan coming on late in the 2nd half if I remember correctly well after Ibra and Rooney had left the field amongst others)

Season hasn't even started and Sturridge is broke :/ I think origi and ings will do good tbh I'd still like a striker but klopp is happy to use firminho up top too so I doubt we will buy one
