So the population drops, that's what's desperately needed. People need to look after their elderly family in the family home, not cast them aside to some insidious "care home" to die, without inconveniencing their own lives. That's one thing I'll give the Asians over here, they do look after their elders.

And they won't be able to, because he doesn't think they deserve anything better than minimum wage.

So who are those that should have the minimum wage? This all smacks of a couple or so generations speciously being taught that there can be no losers, everyone is equal, which is an appalling lie to tell children, and on which to base their expectations.

Anyone can be on minimum wage, but the entire idea behind minimum wage when it was originally created was that it was enough for a full time worker to be able to support both themselves and to start a family.

To quote Roosevelt "by living wages, I mean more than a bare subsistence level. I mean the wages of a decent living."

The entire point of a minimum wage is that it's a fair, living wage that anyone should get in exchange for their time and effort. It shouldn't be a punishment for your circumstances, upbringing or choice of job.

That is to do with the British culture, kick your kids out at 16. So kids say well they kicked me out at 16 i will put them in a home.

All this can be fixed, they don't want it to be fixed. The rich are syphoning tax money from the working class.

There are over a million job vacancies in the UK, 6.7% under employment seems like a fairly low figure, what would you expect that to be, 2%?
Still not able to answer those question i see.
  1. "ho you'd assign blame too for someone not being in full time employment?
  2. Who do you think is responsible for the economy?
And now we can add do you understand what underemployment is? Also why you equate job vacancies to underemployment is anyone's guess or is it you think someone stacking shelves can do a few hours as a brain surgeon or something.
...AND doesn't think people should have kids.
Only if they're poor.

Here we go boys, brace yourself ---

Credit Suisse looking very suss!
BoE watching them now.

not sure what relevance that has to this thread ? Kami Kwasi didn't destabilise Credit Suisse unless they are massively over exposed in UK bonds and then they are proper ******
It was responding to another post. It shows the entire system is being stressed so anything sudden could collapse it. I would be very worried about this. A 2008 type event is possible. Currently it’s Switzerland’s Credit Suisse and Germany’s Deutsche Bank that are the ones under stress.

What they seem to be doing is making silly decisions, implementing them and seeing how the public react then reversing them.

Can't say I'm surprised... The Truss way has always been to say/do something stupid and then backtrack so it stands to reason her cabinet will follow that line.
