He wasn’t elected, had he been, Russia would not have invaded Ukraine.

Literally everything Corbyn said would happen, is. He had the policies to prevent it.

LOL wat???? Mr Stop the war member would have had policies to prevent it? What policies would have prevented it?

The only thing he'd have tried to prevent would have been the Ukrainian's successful defence of Kyiv, in part thanks to UK supplied NLAWs.

If you think another western politician making phonecalls or having meetings calling for peace would have made any difference with Putin then I have a bridge to sell you, Macron already tried all that nonsense.

Really mad that we aren't seeing the tapering allowance disappear for the 100-125k mark, and that 'means tested' perks like £2k childcare top-up are still capped at £100k adjusted net income.

22 percent don't know? That's exactly why this lot could get in again.

Only 63 percent of people can see it benefits the rich more?

I despair! We have no hope.
Lol that stooge on BBC this morning was saying it will benefit everyone, seriously who are these Conservative voters, don't they have a brain?

This is absolutely disgusting. Lowering tax income streams for the government. However, borrowing more money at a higher rate?

Have the conservatives gone mad? I thought labour were the 'communist/socialist party'. Seems Liz just wants to say 'yes' to every single thing proposed so she doesn't get outed from office.

Awful party. I thought they were the 'sound ones' when it comes to economics.

It's borrowing money for tax cuts, the worst kind of borrowing. People like to deride the markets on here but they have shown what they think today.

That's exactly what it is.

I'm kind of glad that the markets and gbp is tanking. Just shows that this is terrible policy.

Wonder how bad its going to get.

Just had an email from Kwasi saying I have just given you loads more money in your pocket so please donate to the party to stop Labour winning the next GE and reversing it./

We promised that this would be a tax cutting government.

Today we have delivered the biggest tax cuts in 50 years.

Income Tax cut. Stamp Duty cut. Business taxes cut.

We're also helping households facing Putin's energy crisis by cutting bills by an average of £1,400 this year.

These are just some of the announcements I've made today as part of our Growth Plan.

This plan will ensure you keep more of the money you earn, as well as deliver high wage jobs and opportunities across all regions and sectors of the UK.

This is a new approach for a new era.

But, Howard, only Conservatives can be trusted to deliver. To secure today's announcements for the long-term it is vital we win the next General Election

Just a small donation on your part Howard will help fund local campaigns for Conservative candidates - helping get their message out.

So will you back our plans today with just a small donation?

Yours sincerely,

The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng
Chancellor of the Exchequer

Politically he's played a bit of a blinder. People will either vote for them because of it, or if Labour get in he just points out that they're the party that got rid of tax cuts and votes swing back next time.
