30xx Series Founders Edition

Bagged a 3090FE, then started to get buyers remorse...

Then had a call from work, promotion and pay rise!

Plus, birthday in a couple of weeks...buyers remorse gone :)

(still a bit late to the 3090FE party, but the chances of actually getting anything better this year are remote...right?)
(the right is the buyer remorse bit!)

3090ti due very soon, should have launched alrleady but was delayed due to a rumoured BIOS issue. Main benefit of 3090ti is only having VRAM on the GPU side of the card

I read somewhere (I think in this thread) the 3090FE now have a "improved" thermal pads...anyone know if that's true?
Not sure about the 3090 but my 3080 VRAM temps seem good compared to people who got the versions around a year ago.

3090ti due very soon, should have launched alrleady but was delayed due to a rumoured BIOS issue. Main benefit of 3090ti is only having VRAM on the GPU side of the card, meaning no need to replace the thermal pads like you 'have' to with the 3090.

Note you don't have to replace the 3090's VRAM thermal pads, though it gets very loud when running 4k 100% load due to VRAM reaching 100C+.

The highest temp I’ve seen on VRAM on mine is 96C and that was OC’d with full RT on insane or whatever it is in CP2077 @ 4K.

Only people “needing” to change pads are miners IMO.

How do you embed the youtube in the post? I do a link but this way far nicer

Look at the ribbon of icons above the creat post or quick reply. Now check out the group of three with the smiley face. The last icon is a movie icon. Click that and paste the Youtube link.

They should really make the RTX 3090 TI an FE card only, given that it will likely have an RRP price of at least £1700. Plus the fact that they are probably pretty low yield anyway.
