Shame I’ve already had my one allocation of 30 series cards. Humbug.
I wouldnt mention him he is not that keen on the company...

Be interesting to see how the 3060Ti performs with that extra bandwidth, wonder if they'll do the same with other models..
Seems so, GPU-Z and HWiNFO tells me the memory type is GDDR6, even though the order description states it's GDD6X (and again in the order email I got, these two are the only places where it says GDDR6X, nowhere else), not that it matters a lot, I dunno how much difference it'll make and it's already 30-40% faster over my RX 5600 XT anyway.99% his card is going to be the older stock anyhow.
Well if the paperwork states GDDR6x then send it back?
Yup, I've been reading a bit about this, that's an issue I want to avoid, potentially getting locked out of getting another for 2 years because of a possible typo? That doesn't seem worth the effort to be honest.Problem is, if you do send it back for a refund, you'll probably not be able to get another as their system will show you as having a 30 series card...
Graphics cards such as RTX 3090 Ti can see up to 24.6% better performance, but these improvements also affect mid-range SKUS such as RTX 3060, delivering 3.4% to 7.3% higher framerate.
Our DirectX 12 optimizations apply to GeForce RTX graphics cards and laptops, though improvements will vary based on your specific system setup, and the game settings used. In our testing, performance increases were found in a wide variety of DirectX 12 games, across all resolutions:
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: up to 24% (1080p)
- Battlefield 2042: up to 7% (1080p)
- Borderlands 3: Up to 8% (1080p)
- Call of Duty: Vanguard: up to 12% (4K)
- Control: up to 6% (4K)
- Cyberpunk 2077: up to 20% (1080p)
- F1Ⓡ 22: up to 17% (4K)
- Far Cry 6: up to 5% (1440p)
- Forza Horizon 5: up to 8% (1080P)
- Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition: up to 8% (4k)
- Red Dead Redemption 2: up to 7% (1080p)
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: up to 5% (1080p)
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2: up to 5% (1080p)
- Watch Dogs: Legion: up to 9% (1440p)
NVIDIA has included new shader compilation optimizations, reduced CPU overhead and added Resizable Bar support for games like Forza Horizon 5 or F1 22. This was an effort to reduce CPU-bound bottlenecks to unlock more power for the discrete graphics.
Those are the games tested, chances are gains will be seen in all dx12 games so am interested in seeing what's what!So much for nvidia sabotaging ampere with ada release........
NVIDIA updates DirectX12 driver, up to 24% better performance in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Nvidia not holding back at all.
EDIT:
Seems they have made some improvements to rebar too.
I'll get some benches done of before and after.
