*** 4K Player Thread ***

So finally have confirmation of the Nolan Collection but nowhere seems to have pre-orders up yet which is a bit strange.

Pre-ordered the Blade Runner 2049 steelbook today :)
 
My 390 arrived today. It's a solid piece of kit - very little noise except when booting up (when it sounds like an old PC, with various beeps and clunking sounds).

The Nolan collection will be my first 4K purchase. Here's hoping it's <£100.
 
Got my Oppo 203 today. The picture :eek: oh my, the picture!!

Can’t get over how beautiful it makes films look. Even normal Blu-ray films look leaps ahead in terms of PQ compared to my old Samsung player.

Watched Max Max in 4K and the amount of times I was bowled over by how much detail you can see!
 
Looking to get my dad a 4k player, preferably with Dolby Vision as he has got an LG oled.

Is the Oppo 203 worth the extra £ over the LG?

If this question has been answered already then I apologise. I suspected it gets asked a lot..

Absolutely. The Oppo looked so much better in terms of colour and detail compared to the LG in the demo room I was in. Also tried the Panasonic 900.

I was set on the Oppo anyway but wanted to look at the LG being another Dolby Vision option and to see if £400 extra really is worth it. But I have to say it is, you won’t regret it

The Nolan Collection is seven films - the Batman trilogy plus Inception, Interstellar, The Prestige & Dunkirk.

I saw the word trilogy and then continued to type it when asking about the Nolan collection :p
 
Is the patch live for the Xbox s for the washed out HDR? Or did they just fix the Xbox x.

I have grey bars on a bloody OLED hows that even possible??!!
