i picked up a xbox S at the weekend , hows the 4K playback ?
Anyone going for the Xbox X instead for the 4k playback as well as its normal use ?
why are film codes cheaper than discs but game codes are more expensive than discs ?
Because the film code is free with the film, people just sell them to other people and keep the original film.
...I guess plus the obvious one - the code is giving you access to a streamed film or lower PQ version than the blu-ray or 4k disc

Its fantastic but you know you could have it better elsewhere.
As lovely as I'm sure it would look, I'm currently watching on BBC HD and can't imagine wanting to watch it again - As good as it is.

Just a shame MS have chosen not to offer Dolby Vision on it.
Might ask Santa for one anyway and hope it gets added down the road.

Comparing the Xbox One X with the Xbox One S, I was quite surprised to see similar issues on the S;
I don’t remember the S looking quite so problematic when I looked at its 4K Blu-ray abilities in the summer of 2016.
Maybe something Microsoft has done since the console launched has made 4K Blu-ray playback worse?
Picking up an Oppo UDP203 tomorrow, but before I commit and hand over the cash, is there anything else I should be looking at? It's going to be paired with an LG OLED55B7 if that helps as to determining alternatives
