no choice but to let it dry as it was. Didnt want spread it around any more attempting to dry it out.

It's not about it evaporating, it's about it dissolving the varnish and/or floor because it's a strong solvent.

Easy way out, tell her a giant spider was roaming the kitchen floor and you tried battling with it using the sweeping brush, but it was huge and started to get the better of you.
