Remember to clean old drivers & OC tools and reinstall them.
There's also a link to the lower voltage BIOS that kahboom gave me to test out, over 3 days with this BIOS and no problems.
LtMatt, For me MSI AB works fine, maybe it only creates trouble when using Zero Core. What does Zero Core do anyway?

This will explain all.

Just did a test on my pc and my 7950 crossfire setup as well as my whole base unit, fans, fan controller, 8gb ram, ssd etc is using 70 Watts at idle.
While im using my pc one gpu is completely shut off, fan not spinning using zero electricity. When i leave the computer idle, after 5 minutes my monitor goes into standby and the first gpu shuts off as well. You can tell this as the fans are not moving. The second you move the mouse the first gpu powers up. The second you load a game the second gpu powers up.
How do you explain ZeroCore Matt?
Also, these BIOSs seem to unlimit my power control to +50
Is that safe?

I'm probably very close to you power draw at idle.
7950, 5 fans, fan controller, SSD 120gb and 750gb HDD, Soundcard, 8gb ram and i5 2400 with energy saving turned on
Zerocore effectively turns off a second gpu completely so it uses no electricity when you're not using it. It will also turn off the primary gpu if your monitor goes into standby mode, so long as you have ULPS enabled.
Probably.
I have all power saving features enabled on my motherboard, cpu and gpu's. I'm just happy to have a xfire setup that only uses the same electricity as a light bulb when my pc is sitting idle, which it does a lot. Our electricity bill is high enough as it is so as antony worrall thompson says...
Oh god I'm tired, the reason I typed "explain" was because I was watching the video you posted haha, I meant how to you enable xD
I can't seem to get AB to work with the low voltage bios posted earlier, or any of the others, what is everyone else using? Trixx? I don't really want to use the HIS tool. It is a real shame that RadeonProv does not support voltage adjustments
After a bit of fiddling, it looks like AB does work, I have managed a 2d profile of 500mhz/800mv(core) and 700mhz/1600mv(mem), with a 3d profile of 1125mhz/1200mv(core) and 1400/1600mv(mem).
Only really been playing with core clocking at the moment to find its limit, how safe is it to take these HIS cards to 1300mv on the core using the stock cooler?
Not sure, But I wouldn't clock it over 1200mhz on the stock cooling
Will be added to my loop within the next 2 months, I was just not sure what the stock cooling is capable of,
Currently at 1125mhz and getting to about 72ºC with the auto fan profile, suppose I should probably leave it at that until it goes under water.

What voltage do you need for that clock and what is your asic?
What kind of WC setup are you getting for your system?
