I've many friends who are constantly flying all over the world and they all have one thing in common, posting a photo of them drinking a pint/wine at the airport before getting on a flight. I don't get it, I'm not really one of those people that has to have a regular drink to relax etc. To me, selling alcohol to people who are about to spend 3+ hours in an enclosed space 30,000 feet up in the air seems a little silly.
I
I don't agree with you there - "House prices in some areas of the UK are a joke" I'd agree with but to say future generation can't buy a house is just wrong. Look at my home town of Stoke on Rightmove - 660 properties for sale under £100k of which 109 are under £60k which with a 95% mortgage over 25 years is £300 a month which should be affordable in Stoke with it's average wage of £22k (£1500 a month post tax).
So while some houses are more expensive in certain areas you can almost always find affordable housing, unless you are someone on an "average wage" who somehow expects to live in a 3-4 bed detached house somewhere expensive with your latest iPhone, PCP Audi/BMW and 65" in 4K TV etc.
Yeah but it's Stoke, the **** end of the world.
You're right, you can get cheap houses anywhere, the reason they are cheap is usually that it is an undesirable area for some reason. I don't even like working and driving through Burslem, you couldn't pay me to live there and raise kids there.
