have a look on that well known auction site, and while ** there put ** card up for sale ASAP before the uneducateds realise that its not worth as much anymore :)

Low on funds at the moment, but what I could do is put it up on there whilst im using it. Then when its won buy an 8800 then parcel it off to the winner lol. I want the minimum down time possible cause I aint got another PCI-e card available!

I bought it for £155 so I must be able to get around £140 for it.

Quick question. In Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, a 512 meg GPU is required for the highest settings. Now I'm guessing that this 8800 is more powerful than my 1900XT, but would GRAW allow the game to be played at the highest detail if the GPU memory is less than 512?

Also, is there any point in me shelling out when I only game at 1024 x 1280?

yeah there is a file hack which can be done to allow highest textures.
nothing major just needs a few lines changing in the cfg afaik

would this card be able to play 2142 @ highest settings at 1280x1024? just wondering, id guess it could but im just checking :p not fussed if i cant have the highest texture, i just mean the rest of eye candy :d

It is like that on other sites too that previously showed the specs. I guess nVidia went ape. So now you can still buy the card but you are not allowed to know what you are buying because it doesn't "exist" until Monday.

I'm not sure what this means for people who went for Saturday delivery. Perhaps you have to leave it in the box until Monday. :p
