Just fitted a 8800 GTS 640Mb into Sugo1 case,fits fine.
Very quiet fan,yeah it's a dual slot card.Hope this helps.

I dont think these guys are shipping them out till release day (Monday), so everyone will get them Tuesday, i was going to go for mine today but severe storms here, im hoping it eases a bit later, but if not theres always tom, im in no hurry.

Would my psu run this card ok (spec in sig)? My x1800xt is in for rma at the moment. Would it be worth geting a 8800gts 320mb and selling the replacement for my x1800xt?

Seasonic will run the GTS fine, whatever replacement you get the GTS will be faster, ATi don't have any cards out that are as fast as the GTS/GTX.

If you do, it'll save you getting a new card later on when you want DX10 graphics

I wonder how well the 320MB models run oblivion, COD2 and COH compared to the 640MB models, as I've tested these games using ATT to monitor vram usage on a x1900xt 512MB, and almost always the graph was showing the card to be using over 412MB. I guess nothing is set in stone until Monday, but I can't see the 320MB keeping pace with the 640MB in quite a few titles, especially future titles.

I ran the games at 1280x1024 with all ingame settings maxed and they still gobbled over 412MB of vram, but as stated that was on a x1900xt, and nothing is set in stone until Monday.

This is the dilema I am also having; 320MB vs 640MB vs £. X-bit labs have just published a good article which tests a 256MB 7950GT vs a 512MB model in 19 games! In all but a few cases there is no difference at all.

Hi there,

so the 8800gts 320 MB needs more watts thant the 7900gto?

It looks like it after reading the specifications. My Tt pure power has 480w (520w peak) and is able to cope with the gto at gtx speeds but I wonder if it can cope with the gts.... :confused:

I just ordered one....shall I cancel???? :mad:
