8800GT Ramblings Thread

Installed the card today, I'm loving it so far, takes up much less space in my case compared to my dual slot 1950xt.

Been on Crysis and the editor a fair bit, crysis at 1680x1050 all high execpt post processing on medium, runs very smooth. don't know the FPS exactly but it's plenty smooth enough for me.

Just been on UT3 (real reason i wanted to upgrade), 1680x1050 max detail settings, and it never budged from 62 frames a second on a 34 player CTF server.

I'm very chuffed :)

What map were you playing on?

Upgraded from 7300gs in sli to a single 8800gt (BFG OC version), delighted so far except for CoD United Offensive! Is full of stuttering/tearing on the highest settings, thought it would breaze it tbh.

Guys,

What can I do to make my clocks stick on my 8800GT. In fact ive had this problem with almost all my Nvidia cards. I set the clocks which work perfectly fine and reboot and 9 times out of 10 they are back to stock.

I'm using the latest version of Rivia Tuner with the tick box on save on startup.

Mark, are you clicking the "save" option in the window where you slide the clocks. Something like save and use these clocks each time windows starts.

Yeh, I'm ticking the box and clicked the save button. It does not reset the clocks all of the time. I can boot into windows sometimes and its kept them. :(

Have you saved a profile too? You have to click apply and then the save button will no longer be greyed out then click it and it *should* save the settings.

If I reboot and find the clocks are back to stock, where it says 'Startup Settings 720.... It still retains them  Just stock clocks at the top.

Ill create another profile and see how that goes thanks mate ;)
