Aye, im getting quite addicted to it as well, 60fps with vsynch and Full 16xQ AA lovin it ^_^

Im not too far into it yet, just started Peru.

But you have to Recover Artifacts, and as the usual storyline goes theirs baddies after it as well. If you played the first one then its exactly like that i think. just a remake.
 
I got a game with my card but I've no idea what it is, can't even remember the name, looked sort of warcrafty which aint my cup of tea, really ought to sell on the 2 copies I have lol.

I wouldn't have paid £175 for these cards with or without a game. I'm cheap like that. I believed all the hype that these cards would be £130-£150 each, then I got lucky and bagged a great deal with them at £136 each with the game. Had they cost what they're selling at now, I'd have just stayed with my GTS, since it was only 3 weeks old.
 
Will do today, just said in other thread, I'll do the benchmark in Crysis under XP - 1 card and SLI, then again in Vista, 1 card and SLI and get the reults up later tonight.
I'll try Bioshock tomorrow after my Dentist trip. :eek:

edit - stuck at 1280x1024 native
2nd edit: heard a lot about the Crysis Demo not supporting SLI, though my SLI indicator seems to be working in the game (as unecessarily big as it is) so still not sure if it is supported?

this is killing me now, ordered my GT on the 30th of October..... apparently would be here within 5-7 working days... (not ordered from OCuk must add) and im still waiting -today is working day 7.... and the postman brings nothing.... Bah...

Cant wait to try the Crysis demo for the first time, but with a lack of any graphics card... I hav actually got to socialise with my family, untill it arrives.... thats not good!! lol

Ouch, you don't mean talking, listening and showing interest :eek: :D (don't you have an old PCI videocard lying around so you can talk to them using MSN :p)

LMAO, yep thats the one, i have to actully take part for once...

(im not that bad really lol, my 2 kids dont let me play 24/7 unfortuantely :rolleyes: )

I rigged my laptop up using an old belkin wireless card (yes the Laptop is an ancient P4) and its killed it, 6 system freezes and long dos beep, now it wont post, with or without the card in! agghhhhh :mad::rolleyes::eek:

please come soon GT.. :D

edit: at least i can play on my works pc all day and get paid for it... ha if ony they knew!!
 
Got a question.

Is it worth me getting an 8800GT in the coming weeks (for Crysis, Gears, COD4, UT3). Or shall I wait until the next set of cards come out. What fps, on Crysis, will I be expecting on high or v.high with the hack on XP?

I'm on an X1800XT 256MB playing at 1280x1024 and 1366x768 on the TV.
Rest of my system is 3.25GB Geil DDR2 800 RAM, E6300 at 2.8GHz.
 
So glad i picked up 2 120mm yate loons to blast at the GT (going to have one in the side panel, an one blasting at the back of the card from above...)

94 at stock is pretty scarey, you could boil a cup of tea using the ****er...

Hi Nazca,

That game really does punish a graphics card and with the 8800GT card at stock I settled on Medium @ 1920x1200. Once I work out how to cool this card a bit better I will give it large with some clocks! :o

I don't think that I could get any of the *big* widescreen resolutions running in High at a decent enough framerate but you never know, with some extra clocks on the card it may be possible? I haven't got around to tweaking the in game options yet like Post-Processing etc, I just stuck everything on Medium and did some benches at the different resolutions, then stuck everything on High and rinse and repeat.

These are to be taken as *baseline* figures as the results are an average from four runs plus the fact the card is at stock. You will be able to achieve these framerates with no trouble then you can work your way upwards!

Cheers, it seems quite playable on high then. I'll probably put shadows on medium/low since it seems to affect the fps adversely.

Since I'll also be playing on a 32" TV with 1366x768 would that theoretically mean more fps than on 1280x1024?
