I think your CPU score of 759 Marks (if using 3Dmark 06) is too low for a x2 4400, I was getting over 800 using a P4 3.4GHz N/wood.
frankmcg said:Even more worrying than the above, getting really bad stutters in nearly everything, HL2, Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander etc. Any ideas what's going on? Pretty disappointed to be honest as CoH in particular actually seems worse than on my old 7800GT!
Doppleganger said:Agreed, something up with the cpu looks like. You should be getting close to 1 fps on the cpu tests in '06. Have you installed the AMD dual-core driver?
frankmcg said:Just reinstalled the dual core drivers and killed cool n quiet. Seems to have made a bit of an improvement still not there yet. I'm out of ideas now
3DMark Score 6495 3DMarks
SM 2.0 Score 3448 Marks
SM 3.0 Score 3519 Marks
CPU Score 1065 Marks
CPU1 - Red Valley 0.367 FPS
CPU2 - Red Valley 0.494 FPS
Doppleganger said:Everything seems fine except the cpu score of course. Running through some obvious things:
- have you installed the motherboard drivers?
- have you ensured there is no other cpu intensive task runing when you you do the 3DMark run?
