just run my PoV 8800GTS 320 with the Mem set to 1003!!!
what kinda speed can you get outta your RAM
mattpj said:I would want to run everything at 1680x1050. Would i be a fool to get this card instead of 640mb?
Chaos said:Im gona be gaming at 1680x1050 and decided to go for the 640mb card just in case games in the future might need it and its only a little more cash.
See i think it depends on the revision of the Hiper, that cheaper unit on OCUK seems to hold those values but I will double check my PSU when I get home just to make sure
These cards will work fine on the Hiper TypeR 580w PSU's, even the GTX will work, the Hipers are Crossfire certified for 2x x1950 XTX's which will eat a helluva lot more power than a single GTS/GTX.
The Laughing Ma said:Yeah i didn't get mine from OCUK, infact being an complete idiot I can't even remember where I got mine from. All I know is that the serial number on the back has a MK2 at the end and the box doesn't have that AMD badge on it rather it has a NVidia SLI certified sticker instead.
Hoo boy, now do I buy the 320Mb or the 640Mb version. I'll have think about it. Thanks for the help.
will be fine for that resDark_Angel said:From the reviews I have read, they say 1600x1200 is fine for 320MB, though at 1920x1200 it is 50/50 which one is the better buy.
Guess it depends, if you are using 1280x1024 for example, then get the cheaper card, and save that extra 50 pounds in the "next upgrade jar". I will buy the 320MB version, and I am using a 1680x1050 screen.
None of the reviews take that screen size in to account I am afraid, so I just place performance between 16x12 and 12x10
Hmmmmmmmm. . .jrodga2k5 said:this card is actually silent

My quarrel aswell, hardly any 1680x1050 benches. Quite frankly, dire.Dark_Angel said:I have no doubt it will be, I was more moaning that no review site seems to think people have 20" widescreens, yet so many cater for 800x600
A wise decision and it will put you in good stead for upcoming titles my friend.Chaos said:Im gona be gaming at 1680x1050 and decided to go for the 640mb card just in case games in the future might need it and its only a little more cash.
