8800GTS 320MB Results so far....

I'm tempted to get the 640MB version cos I can get one for £205 (moving to Canada next week) but a 576mhz 320MB one would only be about £160.

I'm tempted to save the £45 (or get an extra 1GB RAM with it for 3GB) but I know I'll kick myself if games like Bioshock and Crysis need the extra vRAM lol.

have to agree, i only bought it because of the price, there was no need for me to upgrade at all yet, but what can you do, its only £199!!!, and look at the performance your getting for that absolutely amazing price, look at all the cards that have gone before, x1800's/x1900's/x1950's/7800's/7900's/7950's etc... and think of the prices those cards were going for (and still are), and now we have a card thats only £199 that totally destroys them all, its an absolute bargain of a lifetime that, i just had to buy it, i just didnt care that my x1800 was still cutting through everything maxed out still, this card is only £199 so it had to be bought, i just could not pass it up at that price. :D

Just ordered mine this morning! I decided to shop around a bit and found it reasonably cheaper elsewhere. You guys enjoying yours?

Cheers for the reply, can't really go wrong for that price! Good thing I took my 7900 GTX out of my PC before I shipped it over to Canada and got £200 for it at Christmas :D
 
Anyone know what size that BFG t-shirt is that you get free with the card? I really hope it isn't a obese fat geek gamer size which I won't even be able to wear :(
 
Oh for goodness sake, what use is that to anyone? Maybe its a reflection of reality in this country of people getting fatter but it isn't fair!!

I will just have to shrink it. lol!

Or eat more (Family Feast / Bargain bucket time!). One guy here gave it to his kid as a nighty / tent / parachute
 
I just ordered this card, but I'm currently using Vista 64 >_> I've heard nothing but bad things about 8800 performance on that particular OS. Anyone here with Vista 64 and the card with any problems?

LMAO! I think I'm Medium/Large but XL is going to be far too big. They could have at least hit it bang in the middle I mean you got S - M - L - XL. For a lot of people it doesn't seem a free item. Not to worry I shall make some use of it, maybe some goon will buy it on ebay!
