Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

8Packs no BS testing Intel 8700K and Z370 with Delid 5ghz and above available from OCUK.

Finally got my bundle installed. Enabled the 5.2 profile in the bios and seems to fine, except the CPU frequency is fluctuating between 4.9, 5.1 and 5.2. It's never still at 5.2m regardless of load.

Edit: Ran Cinebench R15, consistently getting 1651 pts, and not the 1700+ seen in the original screenshots :(

To nutkins make sure nothings running that doesn't need to be or updating in background as you'll lose a few points . what speed in memory at ?

3600, as per the profile.

Ran AIDA64 for a little. Clock sits at 4.8-4.9. Will never touch the 5.2GHz it should reach (as far as I'm aware, AIDA doesn't run AVX instructions).

In testing totally fine ofcourse. Check Realbench, heaven etc.. Disable avx offset if necessary just don't rum avx stress tests.

Check power plan in Windows, check igpu isn't installed by some windows update.

Yes it does, there's AVX instructions in the conventional CPU test routines as well as FPU, now. Which is slightly frustrating in my opinion as the CPU routines were a good starting point for non AVX clocks.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, disabled AVX offset and this seems to have resolved it, though bus speed jumps around a lot but the core never seems to drop below 5.197, so I'm not going to moan about that, given it's negligible.

Just going to get on with my games now. Cheers.

Urgh. CPU was hitting upwards of 80c in Destiny 2. NZXT CAM thought it'd be a good time to put stress on my CPU at the same time to collaborate the smart device's cooling (have the new H700i case).
