I'm at a loss as to find anything wrong with my 970 SLI setup? They're powering the swift brilliantly at 1440? As I mentioned in another thread the only games that stuttered for me were COD AW (my fault as I'd used the wrong type of AA that didn't like SLI or crossfire) and far cry 4 which seems broken anyway? I'm sorry but by the time the 970 is struggling in anything worth playing then I'll have upgraded anyway.

Thanks for letting us know.

Still doesn't mean you own what you thought you had paid for.

I'd agree, if you MUST get a new system today, the Vapor-X OC 8192MB will offer you the most longevity, but it's only really worth getting an 8GB if you're getting x2 of them, otherwise 4GB is enough. You'd run out of GPU grunt before you utilise the 8GB anyway. If you can wait though, worth seeing what the 3xx series will bring around June time. You could always get a cheap card as a stop gap until then. An alternative to the Vapor-X 8GB is the MSI 8GB card, which is quite a lot cheaper. As someone has previously asked, I don't know that the Vapor-X is £100 better, although I believe it does have a superior cooler, I've not seen them directly compared.

I ordered two of the MSI 8Gb cards yesterday. I couldn't see the justification on the extra £100 per card for the Vapor-x.

The box says 4gb on it....the card has....4gb on it. May be a different story if the box had the rop count and L2 cache amount on it but it doesn't.

Granted 0.5gb of it doesn't perform as well as the other 3.5gb, but that's besides the point, it still, physically has 4gb of vram.
