Hoping to a good end to the season. judging from the P1 times it's looking like Red Bull wont be getting close as Mercedes holding a 0.4 advantage currently.

Going to be interesting. Well actually, I reckon the race will be boring. I have a slight niggling feeling that Rosberg will have a mechanical issue though, which would be a shame.

Well that's a bloody stupid suggestion under consideration. Standing start after a safety car period. What the hell is the point of the safety car then? They may as well just red flag the race. Who comes up with these stupid ideas?

Looks like Germany won't have a race either next year. We are losing tracks at a rapid rate although I will not miss Singapore at all.

I'm quite annoyed. Yes, it's a boring race but I'd love to go and watch it as I bet it would be a spectacle.

Thankfully Malaysia is on for next year so I'll go to that. Was hoping to do either than or Singapore next year.

Say Nico has a problem and ends up with a grid place penalty whilst Ham qualifies on pole. Will Mercedes allow the driver behind (in this case Rosberg) a preferential strategy to beat the Redbulls, even though it might mean he ends up 2nd and wins the championship.

The idea is that you get the cars around under a safety car so that the water gets cleared off the track by the race tyres. Then you have a proper start, instead of the safety car start that no one likes.

Obviously this only works if it has stopped raining, or is raining much lighter, but you still have a lot of standing water that you want to shift so that you can race.

If there were a first corner collision, taking out Hamilton, with Rosberg clearly at fault, could Rosberg be penalised points? Or simply be stripped of all points?

It's pretty unlikely - It would need to be black and white that he deliberately took Hamilton out for that to be a possibility.

And why would he even bother doing that? He can cruise home in second or third and still win the title, he simply doesn't have to get involved with Hamilton at all.

It's still possible for Lewis to be in with a reasonable shot at the title. Looking at Nico's race results, there's been a few in 4th and lower. We need a result like these.

Whilst something like Malaysia happening to Rosberg (whilst it would even things a bit) is a bit cruel to hope for, I think Rosberg having to fight his way up to 3rd from the back of the grid (ala Spa) would set up a good race tomorrow.
