Acer Predator XR341CK/X34 34" Curved Gaming Screens with FreeSync and G-sync

On a separate note, a brief look at the benq 35" 1080 VA 144hz freesync monitor:

I really don't want to go back to 16.9, will someone please release a good 34" 1440 free/g sync IPS/VA screen which has really good motion clarity for <£800

Bluegh, 1080... I kind of hope it sells well though, as that will perhaps give a push towards the manufactuers getting a 21:9 1440p 144Hz out there, which is what we REALLY need and want. Come on, what's the hold up!?

Urgh, I could have sworn that was freesync! Ah well, didn't have any interest in buying it anyway.

Any sort of idea when we might see a free/g sync 144hz IPS/VA 27" 1440 screen by benq?

Excuse my ignorance but what is KVM?

Basically it allows you to use One monitor, One keyboard and one mouse with multiple computers.

a normal high grade KVM switch would be used in a server rack so the user can choose which server they want access too.

So I can plug in a display port and USB into my mac and pc and when I choose the mac input it will connect the mac's USB to the usb hub in the monitor. same for the PC.

ha what a joke. You would have to be crazy to buy this.... Even @ £500 I still wouldn't touch it because of ACER...

I read earlier on at hardforum that supposedly the Samsung 34" is still better for input lag and motion clarity compared to the acer as well!

This monitor was a fail the moment Acer conceived it as 75Hz. And given the disaster of the XB270HU I wouldn't touch it with a stick... same goes with most of their stuff tbh.

Disaster of the XB270HU? It's the best gaming monitor you can buy on the market.

I'm just hoping with G-Sync's variable overdrive ability they will be able to get the G-Sync version up to 100 Hz. I really don't care about the freesync version.

.

That it might be if you get one that is free from defects but its also the worst disaster of a gaming monitor you can try and avoid on the market.
I take it you are one of the lucky ones who got a decent one. Head over to the XB270HU thread and read the last 6 pages.

Even so woe betide you if it develops a fault. Good luck on getting that sorted!

Yes, I've gotten one of the first ones and besides the normal design annoyances like the bright power LED which can be fixed with a little tape and the gloss bezels that can be spray painted matte, it's great.

No monitor out there matches the picture quality and motion clarity of it. I do realize there are bad samples, but returning it for another isn't the end of the world like some make it out to be.
