Not sure how accurate, but seems like there are some disagreements with the US/British leadership on the ground in Kabul, looks like we want to go out and collect as many people as possible but the US prefer to secure the airbase and just sit there waiting for the people to come in.
Tbh, if the Brits can do it safely and collect the people needing out I hope CO 2PARA or whoever tells whoever in the US leadership to rod off. I've worked with the US couple of times and can imagine their leadership being the big balls out there trying to run it, the US lads/girls will probably want to help but they are quite robotic when it comes to following orders, rightly or wrongly. We tend to think a bit more... again rightly or wrongly, just seeing this at face value I'd say hopefully we are doing what is more right. But then I don't know what exactly is going on, I can only imagine it being very difficult for all involved, especially the lads/girls out on the ground. They will be under some mental stress out there for sure.
