Air fryers

I use the same salmon and make it with a Asian inspired honey and garlic glaze. I actually got it from this guys channel. He has a lot of nice things that are worth checking out

Damn, that looks better than mine!

I just pasted on some random ingredients - butter, paprika, soy sauce, fish sauce, pepper and salt! Turned out alright

Is it normal for an air fryer to occasionally make a click sound?

I have the ninja af300uk and every now again it makes a click noise, nothing super loud but just wondering if an internal part is hitting something or its normal.

@tom_e , I tried draw 2 and it was fine for the 2 minutes of heating something up. maybe it was the food in draw 1 that caused the occasional click type noise, it was frozen chicken tenders, so perhaps the breadcrumbs where flicking up at the fan, I presume the fans are quite powerful so food can get moved around?

Do you have foil or baking parchment lined at the bottom and occasionally get caught from the air blowing it up?

Or any pieces of "light" food items, like pepperoni.

Well it was chicken with breadcrumbs, so perhaps the crumbs got blown towards element causing noise, looking I can see grease up there so food does flick up.

Next time I cook something that’s more solid I will have another listen.

Silicone basket liners are they any good? If so can anyone recommend a set :)
I think they’re essential for cooking fatty drippy stuff like sausages. Saves a lot of elbow grease and keeps your trays in better condition. These look fine and you get a 15% discount

Doesn't that reduce the effectiveness of the side and under airflow?

In mine, I use foil to line the basket, but keep the air flow tray in on top. The air comes from the top anyway so you get the same airflow through the tray as normal. Though admittedly the gaps round the side are less effective.
