I don’t know, but they say don’t preheat and I never do. Everything comes out brilliantly, other bacon, but I think I cook it too longThey just have magical internals that instantly get up to temperature. Great feature. Lol

My Ninja Speedi & health grill both need preheating for best results, and they both automatically preheat before you should put food in (both are current models).Newer dual models don’t. Manual even says no preheating needed
Not done me wrong so far. Why would the manual say it didn’t need preheating if it actually does?My Ninja Speedi & health grill both need preheating for best results, and they both automatically preheat before you should put food in (both are current models).
But, hey, if you want to put meat or whatever into a cold air frier then be my guest, but it's quite daft.
For the life of me I can't quite figure out whyI’ve never got bacon right in an air fryer
No thanks, I’ll stick with what the manufacturer says rather than someone on the internetFor the life of me I can't quite figure out why
Just try stuffs when it's preheated, it'll make a world of difference.
What kind of maniac put's stuff into a cold oven then turns it on?
both of those have a hot plate as part of the design if I'm not mistaken. Not the same as simply pumping out hot air which is a lot quicker than heating a grill plate with an elementMy Ninja Speedi & health grill both need preheating for best results, and they both automatically preheat before you should put food in (both are current models).

The hot plates are used for searing etc, not for air frying.both of those have a hot plate as part of the design if I'm not mistaken. Not the same as simply pumping out hot air which is a lot quicker than heating a grill plate with an element
This one looks like an oven lolAir fryers are the future. If they made them slightly bigger they could replace ovens I recon.
of course but they will also absorb a lot of the initial heat. I've got a ninja woodfire which needs preheating, and a 400f which doesn't (when air frying)The hot plates are used for searing etc, not for air frying.
Have these on my shopping list for the weekend however.

… so these are actually really good! Directions on them for different wattages of air fryers too. Very tasty. I always find the crinkle cut hold seasoning better. 9/10
For decent chips try Lidl's triple cooked beef dripping chips.
Get the air fryer super hot and spray a little oil onto the basket then chuck them in.
You want the chips to hit a hot surface or they'll just steam at first and may stick and end up not crispy, or worse, they'll start to break up.
Sausages are superb in the air fryer, as is black pudding.Just bought my first Air Fryer - Ninja AF400.
Any tips or recommendations? Just tested some frozen curly fries - cooked very fast!
