im about to buy pretty much the whole Bandai Star wars series. Was given a c3po for xmas and have been wanting a new hobby for a while. Looked at some build threads etc and wow. Can really see a place for some of these fitting in the front room. especially those that can be lit up like the falcon.

Looking foward to learning how to paint, weather and etc.. Some serious skill in some of the build threads

Snap! got the Bandai Boba Fett & Sandtrooper kits arriving tomorrow.

Not built any model kits since 1999, was looking in my garden shed yesterday & found a half finished Star Wars Pod Racer kit which I had forgotten about, so going to be finishing that off first.

Really surprised most of my pots of acrylic paint are all ok too, happy days.

My Millennium Falcon arrived yesterday from Japan and it was only posted on the 28/12! Its quite small but super detailed :) I have not also built a model for about 25 years so I now need to get all the kit. I might order the Bandai AT-ST and start with that to get some practice. Just need to work out what paints to get now. There are quite a few Facebook groups worth following.

Difficult to tell how big that box is? Looks quite large to me even though you said the model itself is quite small. What are you doing about air brush etc? It's really important to get a decent airbrush/compressor. I really need to get back into my kits. Miss making them.
 
I am going to get an Airbrush shortly. Looks like the Iwata Neo is recommended on the videos I have watched on YouTube.

May I ask where you got it from in Japan? The long delivery times have put me off ordering from across the world.

was a little worried about the import dutys from ebay? So i ordered from amazon which hopefully will come duty paid?

I can see prices rising very soon as there a bargain for what they are imo

whoops, i spent a bit more than i thought as i re-ordered the xwing for the motorized version with lights, i note its also a 1/44 scale not 1/72

spent £400 all coming from japan
 
Does anyone know of good places to get the Dragon 1/9 Avengers kits from? The dragon website only seems to list physical stores rather than websites. I don't mind importing them if that's the best option but I just want to know reputable stores that sell pre painted kits.
