Airsoft ??

Around 5-10 inch grouping at 60 metres. Depending on the gun of course.

edit: Thats towards the better end of the scale ;)

If you can show me an Airsoft gun getting a 10 inch group at 60 meters then I'm Jesus. Unless you're firing it in a vacuum or something :p A youtube video with 'Airsoft sniper at 60 meters" doesn't count either :D

Yeah if the hops abit week over wind can force the bb's out of the hop. The sping in a mid cap has just enough force to push bb's up.

After every game you should empty bb's out off high caps and mid/low caps to protect the springs.

Can try spraying a little silicon on to the bb's to help lube the hop!

Although I can see people obviously get dressed up for the immersion factor do people they play it in a realistic way too, i.e 30 BB's in a mag etc or is it more "fun" based spray loads of BB's about a bit like paintball?

Nope there is games called mill sim and you can ONLY use what is used in real life eg 30 rounds MAX if that gun had 30 rounds in real life.

Or can only take xxx mags as well and can ONLY use these guns etc etc can get very serious.

You can get 'Realcaps' which hold 30 BB's in a mag, and people do use them, but people have to remember that at the end of the day you're still flinging very light generally inaccurate plastic balls at people often on the basis they're honest enough to shout when they've been hit. Not very accurate bullets that will happily travel through foliage etc and do the shouting for you.

Obviously the main way for making up for lack of accuracy and honesty is sheer numbers. Just sorta levels the playing field really.

Had a wicked game last saturday, lots of up close, sneaky kills!

I'm having a bit of trouble with my SRC 416 with dry feeding. I use Marui mags and have tried the usual things, use a bit of silicon oil in mag, fire with mag upside down, etc. I've tried with both Marui and SRC mags and in both cases, I get dry feeds on both semi and full auto after firing 10-20 rounds. Can't be because I'm not winding the mags enough, I'm constantly winding! Has anyone got any advice on what the problem could be?

main causes of M4-type airsoft guns dry-firing is a damaged/faulty Hop-Unit, Nozzle and tappet plate. ask a friend who works on their own guns or an airsoft engineer to have a look at it.

ignore people talking about the mags, they CANNOT be overwound.

Cheers Aod, I've read lots about it on Arnies and everyone seems to say different things! I'll see what the mid caps are like, then if it still isn't working I'll take the gun back to Wolf to get looked at.

I still have this bad boy. JG BAR-10. Shoots about 400FPS. (410 is what it says) got it for £120 couple of years ago. Good fun, not quite as good as air rifles though.

No problem!
If you do take it to wolf and are worried about the costs, just make sure you tell John (the engineer) to call you with a cost estimate when he knows what's wrong with it. :)

yeah, he's a top-notch Engineer and a great guy to boot :)

If it's still under warranty then don't open it ;)

Too late for that! Though I think I might have fixed the issue. The barrel didn't seem to be aligned properly with the hop up as I could never turn the hop up wheel very far. After opening the receiver up and realigning the hop up I can now turn the wheel fully and the gun shoots much more consistently. Trouble is, now I'm thinking about internal upgrades... I've only just got the sodding gun! Airsoft is a disease! :D

Made a few changes to the HK416, I've added:

Magpul XTM rail panels
Magpul RVG vertical grip
Magpul MBUS rear sight
Magpul RSA and ASAP sling mounts
Hurricane crane stock

Feels damn good to hold this baby let me tell you! Plus now I've replace my Marui high caps with MAG mid caps and all of my dry fire issues are gone, plus I never have to wind again! :D

Basically my younger brother has just started recording at his airsoft place and wanted to upload videos to show people on-line.
As this is his first attempt at a video, 'It is not all that great at the moment' but gives an insight into what goes on, and hopefully the upcoming videos will be a lot better.

Please have a little look...

I have a cyma Mp5k but i'm looking at shifting that since i've just bought a Kwa km4 sr5 fitted with an airfet mosfet and downgraded spring to fire for cqb.

Eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

I don't know why it's called airsoft... as it doesn't have sting!! :D

Only been once, but I have to say I loved it - much more fun than paintballing - but you do have to rely on people being honest - but that's part of the charm I guess. :)

It's bloody good fun actually - I need to find some time (and people) to go and do it again.
