ourgh, im having realy annoying windows raid problems,

Try loading driver... x64 unnasingend driver, but when i go to a x86 installation i dont get a unnasinged driver, i have the latest drivers from asus and cant find any way around it, and dont want to loose any ram in raiding a x86 setup

Don't you get the option to ingnore the fact that the driver is unsigned and run it anyway?

nope...
And if i try it on x86, i load the driver, format the drive, click next it says "setup was unable to locate the partition or create a new partition see the setup logs for more information."

any idead... i may just forgett about raid, and run the hdd's as seperate

Just to confirm, have you changed the SATA mode in the BIOS from "[IDE]" to "[RAID]"?

As for running the drives independently, it's not a bad idea as you have less chance of losing all your data if one of the drives fails (in a RAID0 array).

yep, i set the array up in the raid bois, and it shows up as one partition at 66gb in windows setup.

Pretty much but ive loaded every driver i can find that should work

i just don't get it :s

EDIT: just rebuilt the array, same sort of problem, only this time it will format the array without a driver, but will not let me continue, and i cant load unassigned drivers

ummmmmmm. urrrrrrr, i may just install it on a single drive, raptors are fast ish anyway, and if worst comes to worst ill get a segate momentus 500gb hybrid witch will be a little easyerto set up

EDIT: will play around with my array settings and stripe size before totally giving up

yes we are, but what comes first in youre minds, entertainning people on a forum with pictures of a flashy computer, or installing wondows 7 on that flashy compouter so you can use it ?

EDIT: now it is having problems booting from my dvd drives
double edit:but i have a old windows install on one of those raptors form when everything blew up :L
Triple edit: oh no wait, for some reason the install windows 7 setup wants to be ran in safe mode :L
Quadruple edit: this is realy starting to **** me around :/

You probably need the RAID controller drivers via USB pen drive/floppy

yeah i had them when trying to set up raid, would i need them just to find my hard drives again, ive delleted the array

You may have to load the drivers for the raptors first before windows setup can see them.

May I ask exactly what model number WD 36GB raptor you are using? Should say on a sticker on the drive or in the BIOS.

In setup, can't remember if its F6 in Windows 7 as setup starts

i thought as much, but they were showing in windows setup before trying to raid them and they were vissable, but not any more for some reason

When they were in RAID then they weren't seen as "two WD raptor drives", they were seen as "AMD RAID Drive", which no doubt has drivers built into windows so it is easily picked up.

You will want to find the exact model number of your raptor 36GB drive, download the drivers and load them onto the USB stick/CD. We can help if you tell us the model number.
