I got some screw scars on my mirage, I noticed in with the screws come some red washers so I used them the second time around (incase I changed them back again) - now I have changed them to a light brown washers which came with my zalman HSF, got about 20! lol.

did'nt think of that doh, will now though :) it's these new to me what look like anti-creep screws kinda they really eat into whatever the go up against, must get more washers for them.

I think your meant to use them silvers screws which have a kinda built in metal washer to them, which you cant remove - you know the ones I mean? I just instictly used black as the inside of the case was black! lol.

Silver screws on the Motherboard looks ok, all other screw fixings on the Eclipse will accommodate the black screws that are provided with the case for all the Cards/Drives etc.. I always use red fibre washers on all the screws that I use in the case, basically it stops the screw grip thread on the top of the screw from scratching the case..

actually let me digest that post in detail tomorrow (got "late" head on at the moment) - and if needed some piccies might be good actually :) (much appreciated)

it had been my only minor complaint with this case
Hi Buckster, Did you manage to allign your case ok..

I'm kind of new here but have been lurking for way too long. Not Strictly an Eclipse but I have an Akasa Mirage and have recently tidied up the insides a fair bit with a few replacement parts and the removal of the IDE and Floppy drives.

The items replaced are as follows:
Tangan 480w PSU to a Corsair 620w modular PSU.
2xNEC IDE DVD+RW to a single Samsung SATA DVD-RAM Drive.
1xSeagate SATA 8MBCache 80GB HD to a 500GB SATA2 16MB Cache Samsung HD.

Aaron yume; Your exaust fan cable... you should unscrew the PSU and feed the cable up under it and pull it in to the corner, then put the PSU down on top of it - it worked for me and looks so much better!

You can just able see the yellow/red wires. - and damn I need to sort out my sata cables still.

You complemented yourself earlier on in this thread too.....

That's a bit sad, actually - do you back yourself up in arguments as well? Is it like having an imaginary friend? Is the other PC actually invisible, and only your imaginary friend can see it?

Akasa Mirages very welcome in this thread.. ;) Eclipses / Mirages same family... nice build M8.

Couple of questions if i may.

Does this case come with any fans? if it does, are the fans included adequate?

Is there an ideal PSU you can put in these? one thats good for space saving and good cable management?

Cheers

It does come with fans and they're ok. They move air in the direction it should be moved so yes they are 'adepuate'. There are quiter ones and ones which can shift more air but it all depends on your needs.

The PSU depends on what your putting into the case but if you want one with space saving and cable management, go for a modular supply. That way you can remove most of the cables you don't need. Always hear of people raving about the corsair PSUs LINK

you have the hot and heavy psu resting on the cable? dunno if i'd be comfortable with one of my cables getting stressed? like that. i stuck mine up using one of the akasa cable management kits.

Its a fan cable.. its just wire with a plastic cover the PSU is not heavy enough to crush it and when I swapped the fans over (swapped them back again a few days later) there was no damage to the cable at all. The PSU is never even warm to the touch either.
