Aaron yume; Your exhaust fan cable... you should unscrew the PSU and feed the cable up under it and pull it in to the corner, then put the PSU down on top of it - it worked for me and looks so much better!

You can just able see the yellow/red wires. - and damn I need to sort out my sata cables still.

I did consider doing that originally but wasn't convinced it was worth having to undo the PSU every time I wished to slide out the motherboard tray and was also perhaps a little bit paranoid about placing the wire under the PSU. Although having done so now after your prompting, I have to admit it looks a lot tidier and it's not really much more hassle to quickly unscrew the PSU for those few occasions I'll need to.

Akasa Mirages very welcome in this thread.. ;) Eclipses / Mirages same family... nice build M8.

Cheers ;) Wish I had something better inside it than my current 939 system, although I think that will gradually change in the near future. :D

Went out and bought the mirage. Very nice case :)

Quick question though, do akasa make a side panel specifically for the mirage?

The website shows one for the eclipse but not for the mirage. Does the eclipse one fit for the mirage and if it does, what does it look like? the pictures on the website make it look silver.

The mirage and eclipse are exactly the same albeit the front panel and a few slight changes to the mirage inside so all the eclipse side panels will fit. I also thought the side panel with the fan looked silver but in reviews its the same colour as the mirage/eclipse - It must just be a bad picture on OcUK.

Akasa & Mirage are basically the same case apart from the front bezel, all Akasa Windowed and fan side panels will fit the Mirage perfectly... ;)

A quick few questions if I may:

The side panel comes with a fan from what I know but is it a 120mm fan? Also, is the fan fairly quiet? I've read about a little bit of noise coming from the fan due to the panel itself.

My plan is to use a Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme with a Scythe S-Flex 1600rpm along with two more S-Flex 1600rpm's in the case - one at the front and one at the back when overclocking an E6850 to 3.6Ghz or so and using an 8800GTS. I'm guessing the extra cooling won't hurt but should I use the stock fan or an S-Flex 120mm fan (perrhaps the 800rpm one)?

And finally, with three 1600rpm fans in the case do you think it'll be a bit loud?

Just ordered myself the sound proofing kit after seeing some of the photos in this thread. Just wondering does it all come in pre cut pieces? or will i need to cut them myself?

Don't have it myself, but I'm 95% sure you have to cut it yourself.

Is it the Akasa PaxMate you've bought?

If so yes it's pre cut, 2 pieces for your side panels and 1 piece each for the base and inside lid ;)
