Still can't understand why they stopped cutting the holes in the motherboard tray :/
Yay just rebuilt my eclipse with my dualcore gaming rig as I need it for work, thought i'd restructure all my systems.
It's almost completely silent! Paxmated the floor and roof, shoved the rest of it in gaps (not stuck to side panels), rubber washers on the drivecages attaching them to the front, 5v'ed every fan. The only things I can hear are the drives powering up/accessing (samsungs, so very quiet) and the tickover of the psu fan. Lovely!
Will get some pics, before after etc up in a second
Lol at the paxmate
Didn't want to put it back in the box, or glue it to the panels. Just rolled up the last two sheets and shoved them in the gaps. One in the drivebays and one rolled vertically between the other side panel and drivebays.
I would have thought this might restrict airflow around the inside of the case...
Not exactly much airflow in those areas to restrict though really
Reserved....
Any space that is filled in a case will reduce the volume of air that can flow...

Between the side panel and the chassis. usually put a blob in each corner, then some in the middle of the edges.
Do you mean some in each corner on the top and 2 side pandels
Quick question to everyone. My parents have been moaning about the noise my PC gives off on the night time, they can just hear a droaning noise next door.
Well anyway, I've investigated in my case to see whats causing all the noise, turning the PC on and stoppin a fan at a time....CPU fan made no difference to the overall noise, 120mm rear and front case fans and 8800GT fan all made a noticeable difference when stopped, but all in all, the case it self seem to make the most noice as the PC seemed a lot quieter with the side off compared to being on. It gives off a constant droan, vibrating noise at times, not loud but noticeable....anyone know whats causing this?
