Akasa Eclipse 62's Club... Desktop & Machines.

Here is my Eclipse, built the other day.
I was inspired by this thread to buy the case, and tidy it!

Soon I'm going to buy some paxmate for the floor, it looks great in the other cases of this thread.
I have no side window however, which I think I will have to source from elsewhere as it's not on the overclockers shop anymore :(. Not sure why though because I have seen it with "ordered on request" as the stock status on some sites, so I presume it can still be bought.

be a dare devil, do it yourself :)

thinking of geting some extra holes cut in my mobo tray to aid cable tyding, my dad subcontracts work from a firm who specialise in plasma cutting and cnc laser cuttng, i could get the work done for free, but is it worth the hassle, my eclipse is pretty tidy at the minute, but the cables i dont use are just tucked up next to the psu and behind the right side panel looking at the case face on.

That's a seriously beautiful example of cable management. Awesome. Plain, goddamn awesome.

depends i think a pc looks good when all wires :p are as tidy as possible so if that means laser cutting/cnc cutting the motherboard etc then i myself would do it

Those sickly green PSU cables  which manufacturer in their right mind supplied those colour cables (unless they glow in the dark which is OK I suppose) :D

i got my enermax psu sleeved with uv reactive braid a while ago, my rig used to be kept in a thermaltake tsunami with a side window and 2x uv cathodes but ill be getting a new corsair modular psu soon, try and keep things a bit tidier and less bling:)

Anyone tried the sidepanel with the built in 120mm fan and does it bring temps down much ? Just wondering if something like this would be essential if running an sli or tri sli setup.

Also, I see a lot of people are putting their hard drives into the 5.25" bay to free up space below/imrpove airflow.

I was thinking, instead of using the Icy Dock for the 5.25" bay to store the drives (I understand the 80mm fan that comes with this is noisy), would it be possible to mount a Kama Bay, and use some of those Nexus anti-vibration drive mounts ?

Looking very nice.
I'm due to build my PC using an Eclipse (V2) and as I will be only using 1, maybe 2 hard drives. I would also like to remove the HD rack as you have done. Just wondering what's the pale blue housing you're using for your HD?

Cheers

Just found it online for just over 8 quid, very well priced compared to others. Might order 2 for that price.

Cheers.
