AKG K7XX - Massdrop

The mod increases sub-bass but doesn't affect any other area of the sound, so those who like detailed low bass will appreciate the mod. I found the K7XX port mod to delivery tighter and richer low bass than the Q701 bass mod which made the Q701s deliver similar bass levels to the Fidelio X1 (both good).

The K7XX just feel more grown up in how the bass and overall sound is delivered.

Thanks will check it out

Edit
As simple as removing a sticker

Edit Again
Done and listening to some bassy FLAC tracks (Beauty Beats by Beats Antique) there is slightly more emphasis on low end bass - It's more punchy. Will try out some gaming later in the evening.

Jeez, I just bought a pair of Rock Jaw "Alpha Genus" IEMs for the same price you're being charged for customs - glad I never bought into the whole Massdrop thing, which is quite ironic as I started the thread :D

Will be my one and only time. Probably still cheaper than buying direct from UK retailer but it's not worth the fees and hassle. Can't pay it till pay day at end of month anyway which will give me a few days spare in the deadline.

Vali which I thankfully bought 2nd hand to keep costs down. Still need a DAC though which will definitely have to wait till next month now.

I'll check that one out.

Been doing a bit of research and it seems some people have had Parcelforce's "Clearance Fee" waived by saying they didn't agree to them picking the parcel up and how they didn't get the chance to pay for it themselves etc. Don't think I can get out of the import VAT but it would knock £13.50 off the amount owed.

Should be with RM and £7 charge not PF.

To be honest I didn't know how it would be posted to my front door as soon as it arrived in the UK. Is PF collecting my parcel without my permission and holding it legal?

Well i recently got my Fedex fee waved....I nearly fell off my chair as I shot them an email and within a few hours they responded saying they cancelled the charge. Got the email I sent them saved so I can use it again if needs be.

Massdrop is just not worth it for UK/Europe IMO. Someone should set-up a European mass drop. Would be amazing then.

The reason you can get the fee back is that you never entered in to a contract with the courier to pay the bill on your behalf. It sill boggles my mind why I have no option to pay my own bill. I noticed when buying from some US ebay sellers now that you can pay the import fee up front through eBay which means there's no clearance fees. Hopefully one day this will be the case with all parcels.

I've also had parcels marked as "Customs to be cleared by recipient" that can work as well.
