Alan Smith

Yeah of course, who says Ferguson has lost his tactical nouse? "Listen Alan, we look like we're going to lose this game so I want you to go on, run around for a bit then engineer a career threatening leg break in order for us to save face". Jesus christ what are you on?

The injury is a distraction for Manc fans in their analysis. They dont have to look so hard at how poorly they played.

OMG he swears!!! Jesus, sack him!! I think you'll find that most players in the Premiership swear, wake up and open your eyes and ears. We only get to see him on the pitch, and there are countless stories of people who personally know him and say he's a down to earth guy, helps out with charity work and is generally a nice bloke.

"My mate sed" rumours mean very little. He becomes an aggressive ill-educated oik on the pitch.

I was so gutted to see him in agony.
That's disgusting:mad: how can you say such a th... oh hang on, it's a well thought out & diplomatic comment, considering.

Cant help but feel there is a lot of tosh being posted on this issue. Smith is one of the most foul-mouthed players in the premiership - uses F-words like punctuation, and has few fans beyond his club. The injury is a neat little distraction for united fans to focus on after what was another inept performance. Its clearly not the best news for the lad, but he has a pretty decent healtcare policy and will be on paid leave for the duration of his recovery.
Not so well thought out really.
A young lad has received an injury which could threaten a career which he has worked to excel in since before he knew what memories were. He will definitely miss a WC, & may never play to the same standards again & you think that insurance policies & care will ease that?

Complete and utter tosh

We all know how poor we played yesterday. The Midfield was nothing short of pitifull. Darren Fletcher couldnt pass wind yesterday let alone a ball to one of his own players. Liverpool were the better side and they deserved their win.

Dont get confused with the fact that some people may actually have some sentiment for the player being injured and the fact we were poor. People want to wish him well for the future as has been demonstrated by fans of other clubs in this thread.

Or are you suggesting UTD fans are sitting here saying "Thank God Smithy broke his leg and dislocated his ankle. At least this disguises the fact that we played like carp and we lost"

Dont be so bitter

Home phsyio is best kitted out to deal with serious injuries - they are expected to go on in these situations.

Whats the kind of language he uses got to with sympathy for him breaking his leg?
Are you one of the liverpool based filth that booed him as he came off?

Who is Sed? Every single team in the Premiership has agressive players, they all have players who swear. It's football. Off the pitch they can be very different, and Alan Smith is a clear example of this. Have you got a picture in your head of Alan Smith ripping up town centres during weekends and getting arrested and swearing at Policemen?

He's going out with Steve Bruces daughter and has been described by Bruce himself as a decent lad. I would think Steve Bruce would be a good judge of character especially where his daughter is concerned. Robbie Savage is another example, on the pitch he can be a bit of a thug, off the pitch he's a family man. Loads of agressive players are like this.

Your argument about his swearing is quite childish to be honest. Who do you support by the way?

some of the comments in this thread of late have been a bit off but ultimately people are entitled to their opinion and or needless hate. I suffer no such quarrel with any player nor team, just Peter Kenyon ;)

I hope I'm wrong, but is there a hint of sarcasm there?
Of course there is.

Can't see any needless hate anywhere

Why, what's wrong with Peter Kenyon? From a True Blue point of view, of course:)

nothing is wrong with him, he's an excellent business man and executive when he works for you, but when he knows that he's leaving and regardless of signing confidentiality papers he likes to screw with transfers and use his knowledge against the previous team.

Good luck with Peter Kenyon. Hes the only chairman who can pay £28million for a midfielder and when the true asking price was £20million and was prepared to let Beckham go for £12million if Barca came up with the cash on that day.

;)

His way of doing things recently is running our a name through the mud. Ashley Cole, Arnesen, Obi Mikel....list goes on.

I was at the Old Trafford game last season in our 3-1 win, when the Man U fans starting singing "Stand up if you hate Peter Kenyon" the majority of Chelsea fans present including myself joined the other 66000 fans in removing our bums from the seats.

Jeez, I know your bitter abouts ex-Leeds players who have gone to different clubs, fair enough, but taking the mick out of this is out of order.
This particular case is different. Its the worst of the lot.

I'm not taking the mick btw. Whilst people are expressing their concern and their thoughts in that they wish him to get better why can I not express mine?
