Alien: Isolation...

Whilst it does look cool my concern is just running about, hiding and trying to avoid the alien with just a motion tracker and torch is gonna get a bit boring after a while

It would if that was the only thing you going to be doing the majority of the time but I imagine they will incorporate things (like the crafting) to make it more interesting. That being said survival horror has never really been a massively popular and no matter how well made it is it's probably not going to appeal to mass market who just want brain dead gun ho FPS, hence CoD rehashes ever year.

I think this would really shine with Oculus Rift and make it pretty unique experience. Even Aliens inspired AvP2 made me cream my pants so an Alien/Alien 3 single entity creeping in the shadows, picking people off and chasing you from behind with OR would be quite intense; maybe even too much for some.

Unfortunately, this is just going to be too scary for me to play.

A bit of supernatural creepyness is ok (think FEAR), but when stuff is stalking you and jumping out, coupled with loads of false-alarm jump-scares... just too much for me, sadly.

This looks absolutely incredible! The lighting looks gorgeous and it's nice to see a developer not just going with the tried and tested shooter route. It's just a shame I'm also pants at horror in general and will probably limit me to watching a playthrough :(

Will this have any replayability ? My main concern is the linearity of the experience ie once you've played it through none of the 'scary' events/moments would work on you again.

Oh and I have to mention, being a PC master race snobby git, I do hope that they optimise it for PC as all those jaggies are totally unacceptable to me :p

I'll still be buying it whatever !!

The alien doesn't have a specific path to follow, just specific areas you'll find it in it seems. I've watched a few different videos of it now and the aliens movements are completely random in terms of tracking you, which the AI is programmed to do based on sound and sight supposedly.

Due to that, it'll probably be quite replayable.

I don't like creepy scary games as I mostly play at night..mostly.

Is there an award for the most quoted post? because Stulid deserves it not only for number but also lol quality:cool:....Love it!!:D

Really looking forward to this! everything seems to be stacking up for it being a solid title:cool:

Possibly opening a can of worms though (puts sauce pan on head:D) :o I think this will keep me going until Prometheus 2 (2015?) which apparently starts filming soon:cool:
