Alien: Isolation...

Fingers crossed for this.

Not sure if I'm down with playing as Ripley's daughter though. I'd prefer it to be someone unconnected.

I watched the original film again last night, and I have no idea how the storyline is supposed to work in this. I'm sure when I watched the trailer/interview with the dev they say that Amanda Ripley goes to the Nostromo (hence the exact same rooms and objects being used)but wasn't the Nostromo destroyed

:edit: Just read that it's a different ship... so why is the table exactly the same, with the same items on board? mesoconfuddled.

All that stuff is just an homage. It's set, at least to begin with, on a space station where the flight recorder of the Nostromo is taken to.

edit: d'oh, looks like you already worked it out. As I said, it's an homage.

I like the sound of this BUT!!

I do hope the Alien doesnt turn out to be too scripted...

Exactly the alien AI needs to be dynamic and intelligent. It does not look like there is lots happening in the game hogging processing power compared to many other games so they can afford to go to town getting it correct.

I love aliens, but the games made of the series have left me with no optimism, none at all.

Even if it's a mildly well constructed **** my breeks interactive movie i'm for it. for the rift idea i would need pampers. i think games such as this are practically replacing the traditional horror movie.
