Alien: Isolation...

I soo want to play this but I'm such a pussy. Watched part of walk through on YouTube and jumped out of my seat on several occasions. :(

Although I haven't completed, I'd say some of the scare factor is taken away once you acquire the motion tracker - which annoyingly doesn't have the right sound effects.

With the VR headsets can you move the camera independently of the crosshair?
As it wouldn't make sense that the crosshair moves when you look around with your head.

In HL2 you move with wasd, control the gun with mouse and look around with VR headset.

With AI you can look around with VR headset and also move left and right with the mouse, but not up and down
I havent actually got a weapon yet but i'm guessing you just move it with your head which is a bit rubbish.

Can anyone confirm who has Oculus if you can fully control a gun/crosshair with the mouse?

I'm the same but I got it anyway. I haven't met a single hostile yet (well, not a proper one) and I'm already bricking it. It's incredibly atmospheric and I intend to play it through even if I have to have all the lights on and do it in short stints. Anyone else think Amanda Ripley is fairly hot?

Anyone know if there is a way to disable the 20th Century fox and AMD intro videos at the start ?

Got about 2/3 of the way through this game and honestly im starting to get bored with it. Im normally pretty scared by these types of games but this game realy isn't doing it for me, the AI just seems a bit buggy and predictable playing on Hard. Im also noticing how the alien seems to teleport just to stay close to the player and how the game is heavily scripted.

The atmosphere, sound and art style are fantastic however.
That scene inside the engineer's ship on LV426 was awsome.

Ah sorry Trent I missed your question! Eulogy is correct, ShadowPlay is what I use. If I was still on the 290X I'd have had to use Fraps which cannot record at native resolution without a small performance hit but nVidia's ShadowPlay has zero performance hit and the outputs are near 1:1 quality

What happened to mrk? He's suddenly been suspended!!

Have not been this impressed by a flame thrower since the first time I saw the one on RTCW many moons ago!

You know, I hadn't even spent a second looking at how impressive the flame thrower looks because I've only used it when utterly petrified by the Xenomorph suddenly appearing.

I dont own the game but have just finnished watching a 26 hour playthrough!

He played on hard and failed many times in a number of sections, but the
adventure was worth the effort. It was like watching a 20 hour Alien movie.
I might purchase it and play on easy oneday just for the atmosphere and how close to the original movie this comes.

All I can say is if you an Alien fan this is the pinnical of Alien games. ;)

Nothing will ever get as close to the original movie as this game!

Probably best game/movie tie-in ever made imop.

This is what I said a week ago! ;)

Am I not right? :p
