Alien: Isolation...

Think I will get this to add to my list of games I've not got around to playing yet.

£24 is much better than steams current offering too, thanks for the code! :)

I am so tempted to pre order this but have been stung before with simcity and thief where either the game is a bit rubbish or the price drops dramatically after launch.

Sigourney Weaver also recorded new dialog for the game featuring her likeness. But still 4 x different DLC packs means this is going to be expensive to own the lot right now you have to pre-order the Ripley Edition from GAME to do this on PC-DVD they give you 2 pieces of DLC then the other 2 you need to buy from Steam when they release them.

I reckon to own the lot within 3-4 months of release is going to set you back around £40-50

How anyone can even think of preordering this after the Colonial Marines disaster is beyond me...

Sure, they've made guarantees but I really don't trust a thing that comes out of that publishers mouth anymore...

Well this has had loads of hand on test plays by a lot of people and the overwhelming consensus is that it's really good. The devs of Isolation have been really open all along the way and have perhaps showed to much if i'm being perfectly honest. Willing to take the chance though.

Colonial Marines was plagued with issues all the way through which should have sent alarm bells ringing for anybody.

First I have really heard of this - gotta say its looking rather good. No way am I pre ordering though. I will wait till after release and keep my fingers crossed that it is as good as it looks.

Fair play I suppose, you can't really argue with that.

I can understand the trepidation of buying anything Alien or Predator related with the dogturd games we've had over the last 5 years or so but I have such high hopes for this.

I think it helps if you like games like Outlast where it is pure survival and zero combat.

Yeha I can totally see the appeal, it seems shocking that an Alien game like this hasn't been done already seeing as the first movie is the best one (sorry 'Aliens' fans :P)

But yeah, I just have a problem with the pre order thing to begin with. But I dont want to start a forum riot so I'll let that lie for the moment xD

No need to apologise, you're telling the truth :D

I'm only going to pre-order to get the Last Survivor DLC, the whole thought of playing Ripley from the point where she decides to destruct the Nostromo and then get back to the Narcissus safely appeals massively.

I wonder if you need to rescue Jones to succeed!

And there's certainly never been an example of a Publisher taking an active role in decision making during the development of a game...

If you carry on thinking that way then you're going to continue being cynical and things like that all your life!
