Alien: Isolation...

I've really had to fight hard to not pre order this, but I have just lost faith in so many games when they've turned out crap or nothing like promised.

Indeed that risk has taught me some patience in buying certain games and has put me off COD a long long time ago. Good on you for being careful :)

Never pre order anymore

Gone are days when you knew what you were getting.
Even if game works it can still Suck and more often then not it does to me as I'm quite particular
I bought tomb raider in last sale
Last game I bought before that was Fallout new vegas 6 months prior.
Still plugging away at that lol

even then, getting a game that works is rarer than getting a well paid job these days

Are you writing a poem
Because you seem to press enter after every sentence
Meaning your posts look like this
With no punctuation
And thus harder to read

:p

In some ways I miss cartridges pre Internet
They all seemed to work!

Pre orders like this always get me suspicious. The cynic in me says are they doing this as they know it's not that good?

i think it might be a poem,
bit dry though ,
maybe he should punctuate,
before he makes the world irate,:D

I don't think that's the point really. There's a difference between preordering a game because your fussy and being afraid the thing won't run well or even work at all.

Many people don't preorder simply because it's bad consumer practice. Most of the time, you're putting money down on a product that isn't even half finished with no guarantee it will actually run at the desired FPS and what not. Ofcourse, there are a host of other issues but I've been working for 9 hours straight and im sodding knackered xD

yup, if you truly want to preorder a game, back someone on kickstarter :D

In some cases that might be even worse! Kickstarter has delivered some excellt products but it's also spat out some utter carbage as well as a host of scams.

very true and that was partly what I was trying to say with that post ;) although in retrospect I think I was a little too subtle with that one

You say that like £38 is an outrageous amount for a game.

It is indeed, never paid over £25 for any PC pre-order or any PC game at all and I probs have over 600 in total roughly. They always go down before retail hits, example my DS2 was £17 and that was a pre-order I also never use Russian only keys that need a VPN.
